Obligatory plug of that Victor/Nora fic I wrote that I thought was quite good. I know a lot of people don’t support A03 [I certainly don’t give money to the site] because it allows written CP and also some authors can get more than a bit odd in terms of seeing real, living people as their playthings, but from what I’ve seen there’s literally nothing better out there. All other social media websites I’ve personally ran into are either A) dead/dying, or B) a lot worse. Join me on my quest to give Nora Fries a personality that isn’t “half a step above a piece of cardboard” or “Mean Girls 2005 but not in the enjoyable way”. Or don’t; it’s your choice, after all.

Okay, so I may not post much on A03, but that’s simply because I don’t really write and have impossibly high standards for my own work [even cherry-picking what I thought was my best work from several years ago to throw up there as placeholder material was a real struggle]. Still, every Kudos makes me go “aww shucks”. 🥰 Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I don’t know who’s doing this. But I will find you. And I will...definitely apologize for not being able to write more, motivation just comes and goes. Seriously, I’ve been sitting on a draft of something from a completely original property I made for nearly 2 years now. It’s almost done, I just do not whatsoever have the energy needed to finish it.

I will say this one thing about Scarecrow as a general, and it’s that any canon interpretation of the character where he goes out of his way to hurt children are not good. I’d have said “not valid”, but honestly the internet’s made me loathe that word over the years I’ve been on varying platforms. Just sounds pretentious now.  I personally view Scarecrow as someone who’s just like “Oh well, sucks that they were in the wrong place at the wrong time” if a child gets caught in the crossfire, but having him actively target children is just a little immersion-breaking for me personally; especially since a fair amount of versions of him with mentioned backstories are survivors of child abuse [but seriously, what was up with Batman: the Animated Series’s version of him]. That’s definitely why I’m not very fond of New52 Jon.  In general, how I write the character - is he necessarily kind towards children? Not really. But will he make a conscious, deliberate effort to hurt them? No.

I don’t really write for my main Batman AU a lot for a variety of reasons, yet any Favorites/Kudos/w/e you call them on my work for that AU always has me go “Oh shucks”. 😳  It’s hard to get people to care about a concept that spawned from work you + a couple friends initially set up, so it’s nice that what I [because I still handle the whole thing unless things start changing on me] put work into is actually being recognized by someone out there not out of obligation, but out of genuine interest.
