The talks were taking longer than usual today. Niles was waiting around outside the room for Link, who usually wasted no time in getting out of the room when everything was done.

And then he heard the sound of a sword being drawn. Instantly, Niles had his bow in his hand, and he burst through the door, only to be met with- gods. No. This couldn’t be real. For a moment, he froze, shocked- and then he lifted his bow, sudden rage filling him.

“You won’t get out of here alive,” he growled. “I fucking trusted you. I knew that was a stupid mistake.” And he wouldn’t be making any more. It might be too late to save the king, but he wouldn’t let anything else happen today. Nocking an arrow, Niles fired straight at Link’s heart. The odds of him dodging that were minuscule, but he readied another arrow just in case.

Any amusement that he may have been feeling was soon changed for confusion, tilting his head in curiosity the more that she spoke. What did she mean by falling for it again? When he had looked into the girl in more detail he had to admit there was a lot that didn’t seem to make sense. At times it seemed as though she had always been there and then at other times...she hadn’t been? He had put it down to Ray’s sloppy work - but hearing the nickname of Sae fall from her lips caused him to discard that thought almost instantly. “...just what the fuck do you know?”, he asked softly, taking one more step towards her, obviously not afraid of the bat at all. He might be underestimating her but his mind was too fixated on the little information he had gathered and the fact that she knew his name. He was certain only a select few even knew who he was, even knew that he was alive. “I’m not going anywhere. I gave you an invite and you should come with me”. If she did somehow know him then surely she knew just how dangerous he was too, right? Besides, since she knew him then she had to be taken. It was difficult to work from the shadows if you were known to exist after all. “Come on Princess. It doesn’t have to be so difficult”

@simplyonehellofahokage - Starter Obito hummed sleepily burying his face into the soft hair of his lover. Blind eyes blinking sleepily as he rubbed them. Wrapping his arms back around the blond he kisses the male's shoulder gently. "Mina...we need to get up soon..." he muttered though it was apparent he did not want to move. He was happily tangled up with the person he loved as was not about to move. But they had a mission with the team and knowing the youngest and smartest member Kakashi they would have either a barking ninkin or a silver haired teen knocking at their door if they didn't get up soon. He sighed heavily untangling himself gently and sitting up. Leaning over he kisses the other softly before sliding off the bed to go shower and change. Minato and himself had been close friends as children. They were later placed on the same team and eventually developed feelings. They had been together a few years now. It was nice. Obito liked having someone to come home to. Or wait home for. Though now they were together most of the time as they were in charge of the same team. This mission was supposed to turn the war in their favor. But Obito couldn't help but be worried. Something just felt off and for a man that relied completely on senses other then his eyes he was well in touch with the world around him. He slipped on a pair of pants and left his towel around his neck not really bothering to completely dry his hair. He quietly set to making breakfast lost in his worrying thoughts. If this mission went wrong he was going to make sure at least the kids got home safety. He would rather die then let Minato or the children come to any harm.
