“He took Allura and saved her life at some point,” Hamilton added. “He was sworn to protect her. And a lot of what he does is for Allura. So, I know you don’t see if in every episode, because that would be terrible, but it’s innate. So Coran, the character, has that in him at all times. I think he is serious, a lot, even if he can be funny at the same time.”

[From] season six, you know that at some point we’re going to see some of them. Gosh, he has--I don’t know. He’s got to have at least five or six siblings, I think. And then not including his uncles and aunts and cousins, of which there’s a fricking ton. They’re just like one big massive family that are all together all the time. And so I think it’s funny because it kinda gives him a lot of his character, too. With everybody else, he’s kinda trying to be the center of attention and stuff a lot. Maybe because if you come from a big family, you’re trying to be unique or something, because you know all the siblings and stuff. So I think that honestly plays into his character. But at the same time, his family is awesome and that’s why he misses them so much. So they’re cool. He has lots of siblings, at least five or six. Maybe more. And he has some nephews and nieces that are really cute too.

Jeremy: I think one of the hardest episodes--Not hardest, but one of the best ones to record is coming up... Actually it’s not a spoiler though, because it’s just one of the funny episodes, kind of like a “Space Mall” type episode. I mean it’s not “Space Mall,” but it’s like that. It’s a nice break episode from the heavy, dramatic stuff... I don’t know the episode number. More or less, it’s kind of like a mock Dungeons and Dragons-type episode. That’s as much as I can say, but it’s so funny.

Interviewer: What would you say is your favorite role that you’ve done, because you’ve done so many?
Josh: I would have to say it’s a tossup between Spiderman and Shiro from Voltron. ... I totally identified with Peter, and so he’s always going to have a real special place in my heart. But Shiro, I’ve spent a lot more time with the character. I’ve played him in a lot more episodes. I’ve done a lot more thinking about his psyche and all of that, and I relate a lot to him as well. I mean, I’m in a different place in my life now, I am a dad. He’s not a father, but he’s still the guy that everybody looks up to to lead them. And so I feel like I share a lot in common with him as well.
