He types with one thumb; smudgy with exhaustion but nowhere near sleep. The reply is near-immediate: call me
Isak speaks as soon as Even answers and maybe he actually is drunk because his words rush out in a sullen jumble. “Tell me something that is scientifically true.”
It’s 2.28, Isak’s face is smushed up against the pillow and the eye that isn’t covered follows the harsh line of sunlight breaking past the blinds.
“During winter breeding times, male humpback whales sing like, epic fucking Sigur Rós type jams,” Even says finally and while that deep voice carries the suggestion of a smile, it doesn’t feel like a lie; his breathing is as soft and comforting as the dark.

“Are you sure I can’t convince you to come with me? It’ll be fun. Beaches, shopping, best wines and dines Italy has to offer.. Come on.. It’s on me.” Zelda pleaded with them. It would be so boring if she had to go on this work trip by herself. Where was the fun if she had to go n this adventure all by herself?
