the summer haze engulfs arcadia bay , sending children &. animals alike into hiding. the pungent smell of the ocean breaks through the usual scents of gasoline &. burnt wood. despite it being the peak of the afternoon , cicadas sound loudly throughout , &. all is hushed save for the occasional bark of a dog. as expected in the time of the summer , blackwell academy was out , &. though it made no difference to chloe , it meant she could spend more time with yoko. they usually spent the weeks together by causing as much trouble as they could &. sitting about lazily. this happened to be one of those “let’s cause as much mischief as we can &. then reminiscence about it later” days ; after getting into a bout of trouble with some truckers in the two whales diner ( with an added bonus of a pissed off joyce ) , the two escaped to chloe’s home to chill. 

they had lay side-by-side on the bed together , chloe smoking a joint &. yoko reading some of her old tween magazines from when she was younger , snide remarks passing between the two here &. there. chloe rather enjoyed the company of yoko , &. wasn’t afraid to admit it either. she was always an outwardly affectionate person , &. would sometimes make a habit out of throwing her arm around yoko’s shoulder or reaching down to grab her hand. she did it mostly to get a reaction out of her , but sometimes chloe felt . . like these things were right. they felt so natural ; it was natural the way their hands fit perfectly together , it was natural the way chloe could drop her guard around yoko &. be as in secure as she wanted without feeling WEAK. sometimes she wondered if yoko was meant to be her rachel amber. 

perhaps this was why — as they lay together in the sun, yoko snoring gently, legs an entangled mess — chloe found it so NATURAL to find her . . to find her attractive. to find the white of her skin more beautiful than any diamond, to find her onyx tresses dangerously inviting . . to FEEL the urge to lean over &. connect their lips. a swath of drowsiness passes over her before she can make any of kind of move, however, &. she nods off into sleep, head nestled in between yoko’s shoulder &. neck. there is a brief moment of hesitation before her lips brush her neck, &. chloe’s heart is lit aflame.

                         “  ---------  piss off.  this is my spot.  i was here first.  ”  and was he doing anything of real worth, here ??  of course :  getting back at the general public by spitting on their heads from atop this cruddy hotel, crushed between two other shops and overseeing a steady stream of foot traffic.  a clutter of chalked x’s surrounding his filthy, fraying sneakers denoted his successful hits.  “  get outta here, dumbass.  ”

my opinion on;

character in general: yoko is the single most precious oc i have ever come across, &. i want to squish her cheeks so fucking bad. she actually has a very interesting backstory &. reasoning for why she does things a certain way! plus she’s aesthetically pleasing &. reminds me of the interstellar a lot! yoko just gives me this very dreamy / moony vibe, &. i can’t say that about a lot of original characters!how they play them: ohhhhh ym goodoo. yoko is portrayed beautifully; with beautiful writing, beautiful descriptions, beautiful windows into her soul. i love everything about the way she portrays her, &. she’s so passionate about her, too ! it feels like every day yoko’s growing a little more, &. i want to be there when she finally evolves into the most well-written, complex character ever.the mun:  VB REATHES IN DEEPLY I LOVE MAR !!!! HONESTLY SHES SO WONDERFUL &. NICE &. JUS T???? we basically sit there typing in caps to each other the entire time, &. we just ?? clicked so well like how did this even happEN. she makes me Suffer and that’s all i can really ask for :^)
