                              "I have a name, you know.” Amelia was quick to snap at the blonde who referred her by the name she so desperately loathed to hear. She hadn’t meant to sound so rude, but just hearing the name “Potter’ - to be called it! - infuriated Amelia in more ways than she could imagine. “It’s Amelia. You should try using it next time.” Assuming there was a next time: Amelia had slammed her book shut and shoved it in her bag, her intentions clear that she was going to leave her once peaceful spot to find another one where she wouldn’t be hassled by people curious by ‘Harry’s long lost twin’.

He smirks, amused and proud at the same time. He used to say the same things to his friends when he was younger, and isn’t it just true. Amara is using the words against him now. “So what you are saying is that there is no secret? Not the way you put it? Does your mother know about this as well?”

Bella was not entirely unfeeling when it came to her family. After the Dark Lord had released her from Azkaban and they had reunited she had been passed into the care of her sister. As proud as she was, and she was fiercely proud, she realised that she would take some time to recover her full strength after years of imprisonment. Her spirit and her love and devotion of the Dark Lord had driven her to the point of madness as she had been tortured but it had also been her salvation. She had cried when she had seen him restored, her defences weak, and she had shed a tear when Narcissa had embraced her. Rod had one singular motivation and she was not ready for that yet. The sight of her neice and nephew grown had spurred him on and so she had sneered at them both and retreated into her room, coming out only at night when she knew they would be sleeping. They had returned to Hogwarts and Bella had relaxed more. She knew they would return for summer but even she had not foreseen the circumstances they would be in. Lucius had always been a fool in her eyes but his sheer level of incompetency had astounded her.

When she had returned to the Manor, the children were back and Bella could empathise more so with Amara because of the close bond she'd had with her own father Cygnus. Draco was receiving honours that he was too foolish to realise were just that, something that Narcissa also did not realise but Amara had been passed over and Bella did not want her to feel as though she was left out. She had decided that she would try bond with the girl and see how she could incorporate her, bring her more fully into the family. So it had led her to her current position, standing outside of her neice's room. She bounced on the balls of her feet, contemplating the door in front of her, the curls in her hair moving with the motion. She rapped sharply on the door and then strode in.

"Amara, its your dear aunt Bella. You better not have any boys around, naughty naughty." She looked around, trying to locate her neice, eyes narrowing slightly as she found her on the balcony.

      [ Killian looked up from his WORK,  carefully sorting dried       Fanged Geranium  flowers out by size into three  different       containers. He was G R A T E F U L for a break if he was       honest, this was hardly very engaging work, after all.. ]

              ❝ —— Oh, hey Amara, your brother's not in               at the moment if that's why you're here? He's               out with a SUPPLIER I think. Said he'd be               back at.. ❞

      [ He glanced up at the CLOCK above the premade potions       display. ]

          ❝ ... well, not too long actually, TEN MINUTES. ❞

      [ He gave her an  apologetic  look.  QUIETLY,  Killian almost       hoped she'd  stay,  so he  could at  least talk  to someone as       he did this. Despite the odd  boring task, he apothecary was       going well,  while they were relatively  N E W  still,  they were       already booming as a business and Killian was quite PROUD       of him and Draco for pulling it off. ]

it isn’t that she doesn’t like the girl,     but she’s not fond of the staring. hermione looks up from the book open in front of her, and she decides to stare back. not very mature of her, possibly, but she has had quite a day.      ‘ can i help you? ’     truly, she doesn’t want to. but this isn’t about actually being helpful, so much as it is about her tone.

She remained silent most of the time as they came to take him. There was little she could have said and done, they had proof of his guilt. That didn’t mean she didn’t try to convince them of his innocence --- but they both knew it was pointless. “They are taking your father to Azkaban. There is ... there is nothing we could do about it.” Blue eyes found her daughter, expression saddened. “You and your brother shouldn’t have to go through this.”

“Never, my heart.” Tender finger run through her daughter’s blonde hair. “I will never truly leave you. Neither will your father.” Narcissa didn’t like seeing Amara like this, in such a turmoil. All she can do is try and calm her, make sure she knows she will never be alone. Not with them around. “Whatever gave you the impression I was going to leave you?”
