I am tired of all the forced Gen ai integration , if you use it-
One of YouTube’s emails and how much companies keep PUSHING Gen ai on us prompted me to record my thoughts. I found it funny so I turned it into a video. This is the horizontal version.
Just a note, I am not against technology , i am specifically against GENERATIVE AI. (Amonfg a couple others, crypto , nfts, you have any idea how bad those are for the enviroment?) I also don’t consider a lot of text-to-speech computerized voices gen ai unless gen ai was used to make it. A lot of stuff claiming to be ai is stuff we’ve already had falsely advertised .
I was rambling some concepts one day and decided to record this one on my iPad. Why do people slap “thicc” on characters that have negative cake, I will never know. Some characters come to mind but it's whatever,You do you. Nothing to take seriously, of course.

I genuinely enjoy breaking things down and analyzing them. I can deuce further earning from a work or chuckle and things i find weird or a mistake here and there. Its fun. Though i am very critical of this series in general and do not enjoy the story or characterization. I can express disappointment in how its potential was not met, to me. I find how it undermines everything it claims to be utterly and completely, rage inducing but i adore the insights and art made by fans and detractors around it. Something to take away is that inspiration can be found anywhere, even when you don’t like a work.
On this work, I used vakee (the green girl who is usually brown) to relay some thoughts. Why is Dite, well damn near every woman in this comic, done so dirty. Aphrodite, the goddess of sexual love , beauty, and war, downplayed and made to feel insecure by Persephone. And while I can acknowledge that Percy here ain’t doing it on purpose, She never claimed to be prettier than Aphrodite, nor tried to be. the narrative and damn near everyone else is.
1.) hades , the creepy, child neglecting , cheating, abusive slave owner stating that Persephone is prettier. I mean , personal opinion and all, but why was he stupid enough to say it in dite’s earshot. (And him saying it means nothing because most of the women he’s expressed interest in are in vulnerable state-such as Persephone at the time. And No, you can’t change my mind on that one.)Anyone who says something is prettier or comparable to Aphrodite ,puts that person’s life at risk because. Contrary to this post, I’m no Aphrodite defender. She is an utter prejudice asshole in this comic and has contributed to potential date gRape, torture, and kidnapping of other women. Do NOT get me started on PSYCHE. She could have been portrayed as more complex, but she isn’t called out for the wrong things she does, she is made to feel low because she’s “useless” and wonders “if she is as pretty as Persephone.”
her convo with Hepestus felt gross… then again, characters in this comic rarely receive consequences for their actions unless overly so for getting in the main pairings way. That’s why the S.A plot still hasn’t been addressed after 200 episodes but we can glaze through Thanatos’s childhood abuse and labor.
2.) all the dudes losing whatever common sense when in scent of Persephone. These dudes sometimes don’t even love her but are obsessed. This could have been a sort of commentary but damn near every guy ? Aphrodite nor any other woman has been shown to get even half that kind of any kind of romantic attention. Or any focus past three chapters really. And you got these dudes risking jobs, personal safety, MORALITY, and ending centuries long relationships for this chick? (My guy Ares was butchered to gas up Percy more. Mans had a whole family with the goddess of sex herself, but wanted to marry Percy for the pedigree… Dite is made from his great grandad’s severed DICK, there is no “higher” pedigree.) We could blame the whole gRape-y fertility goddess thing that I despise to me core but… still… Gives me vibes… the sue vibes. Hmm.
3.) why are all the fertility goddesses striped of their fertility status? Aphrodite is a fertility goddess, in mythos. So why isn’t she one here? Demeter , hera, Leto, plenty of other godesses and gods were fertility centric, so why were they striped of that and fertility made to be exclusive and “special”. Anyhing could have been used instead: Creation, energy, earth . All of those could ahve been used to explain a trait of specific godesses being particularly unique compared to others without striping the other goddesses of theres. And fertility just goes into reproduction , nothing more.
And let me add that with Aphrodite has to replace the mortals Persephone, the “fertility” goddess, slaughtered. The same genocide the did on “accident” that put a huge dent in the human population so there were way less worshipers and offerings. Persephone can’t replace them and unfuck her fuckery, Aphrodite and Eros have to. But Dite feels useless???

I am not saying no one can be pretty except Aphrodite , I am not saying it’s wrong for characters to express that Percy is pretty either. What I am saying is it seems like a lot of different women are brought down in this comic while Persephone is continually uplifted. Where is the deconstruction of purity culture? How is it being deconstructed?? What is feminist about this comic??? Aphrodite is just one part of this frequent issue and I thought I’d be satirical about it. For how can you say something is more beautiful than beauty itself?
This comic is an absolute waste.
These are some reasons as to why. Again , critics and fan works are what i keep coming back for. I really love the rewrites too. One thing I can give this comic credit for is how it got people to create ideas and examine writing, characterization, and art composition more.
Some dumb animation I made for class. It’s very breif and is some timing practice . I may post more animations here and there. It’s on whim. I found it funny tho and wanted to share it.
