Barrie Ingham and Val Bettin reenacting a scene from The Great Mouse Detective [x]
I know it's late at night and probably nobody will care about this like they haven't with a lot of the other things I've poured my heart on and written about before so I don't even know why I keep doing this even, but anyways, yolo XD
I just felt a fervent urge to say...
That Val Bettin's voice it's one of the coolest, most beautiful and awesome voices I've ever heard! And I think him as Dr. Dawson is, in my opinion, his best role. I will always cherish in my heart!
I think his voice should be in a museum! In fact this movie with his voice in it should be in a museum, they should keep a copy in a museum for the future and it should be consider World Heritage!
The other actors and actresses are also fantastic of course by the way, but Bettin is the sweetest! And his character is the most endearing from the movie.
Seriously, truly, there's no sweetest thing than hearing Val Bettin saying "oh my!" as Dr. Dawson! It always warms up my heart no matter how bad my day have been!

You gotta admit, you'd never forget meeting someone like that.

The Great Mouse Detective (1986) is a charming animated film that cleverly adapts Arthur Conan Doyle's detective stories into a mouse-sized world. The film features the clever and courageous Basil of Baker Street as he matches wits with the villainous Ratigan. The fun fact about it being beaten by "An American Tail" (1986) at the box office adds an interesting historical context. While "The Great Mouse Detective" might not have been the blockbuster success, it has gained appreciation for its clever storytelling and memorable characters, standing as a hidden gem in Disney's animation history.
