Eliot is roughing it after a job gone wrong, whereupon he eats some wild fruit (natch the eponymous strawberries) and gets trapped in what turns out to be a fairy forest.

Hardison and Parker have to undergo a number of impossible tasks in order to bring him back and in the end go full Janet, hanging onto him while he turns into a number of dangerous creatures/objects.

Oh no, I’m sorry you can’t read the novella! It’s really gorgeous and fascinating. But Sorcerer to the Crown, oh gosh! I knew in advance I was going to love it but I was still taken aback by how MUCH I did.
