Dislikes: Formerly Nipulon and the G3 Cartel, her biological parents, bullying, insults (especially being called a faggot or blue bitch), unsolicited advice or complaints from parents, and pressure to be the perfect daughter.
Appearance: Taylor is a 13-year-old human girl. Her bright, cyan-blue hair is mostly shaved on one side in a star design. She has hot pink eyes, a scar on her left eye, and wears a white t-shirt with a red and black checkered, torn hoodie, with half the left sleeve rolled up.
Personality: Taylor Character Profile (Refined)
Taylor is a rebellious and resilient teenager whose personality was shaped by years of mistreatment from her toxic parents. They tried to control every aspect of her life, belittling her dreams and passions as meaningless. Their constant criticism, invasion of privacy, and homophobic abuse left Taylor angry, defensive, and distrustful of authority. As a result, she learned to lash out as a form of self-protection—swearing and even resorting to physical confrontation when pushed, especially by the bullies at school.
At school, Taylor’s troubles didn’t end. Her unique appearance made her a target for relentless bullying—she was called names like “freak,” “weirdo,” “blue bitch,” and “ugly blue girl”—and classmates sometimes destroyed her belongings. When provoked by a popular girl, Taylor’s anger could boil over, sometimes leading to public altercations that landed her in the principal’s office and brought her parents’ wrath down on her again. Her swearing and confrontational nature earned her a reputation as rude and difficult, but beneath that tough exterior, Taylor is fiercely loyal, mature beyond her years, and deeply kind to those she trusts. She’s also extremely energetic and adventurous, often throwing herself into new experiences with reckless, gremlin-like enthusiasm.
Taylor’s only solace came from her friendships, especially with Kouler—a sentient Gatling gun she met in Zephyr Paradise. When she and Kouler were taken in by Valakar, a father figure who saw her true worth, Taylor began to experience genuine care and acceptance for the first time. Valakar learned of her traumatic past and the horrors of the G3 Cartel, who enslaved humans and turned them into drugs—a crime Taylor despises. Her hatred is sharpened by the fear that Nipulon, a key cartel figure, will come after her again following her daring escape from his Spire in Port Terrene.
Taylor’s anger toward Nipulon is raw and unfiltered; she isn’t afraid to curse at him, even if it amuses him. She’s especially protective of Valakar, worried that Nipulon might manipulate or brainwash her adoptive dad. The conflict with Nipulon is emotionally charged—after their battle, Taylor collapses in tears, overwhelmed by the memories and pain she’s carried for so long. In a moment of unexpected forgiveness, Nipulon admits his wrongs, promises to change, and is welcomed into the found family alongside Taylor, Valakar, the Skrendel brothers, and Douglas by Axle (the Bounty Hunter).
Despite her hard edges, Taylor loves things that are cute and cool and has an impulsive urge to hug. She’s deeply insecure from years of ridicule at home—her interests were dismissed, so she hid her passions there and only expressed them at school. Music, especially her double axe bass guitar, is her sanctuary and coping mechanism, just as it is for Kouler.
Taylor’s journey also includes coming out as trans and lesbian, which her parents met with violence and threats, further alienating her from her biological family. When loneliness sets in, she turns to her music and her chosen family—friends like Kouler, Alex, Luxa, Scrapple, Lizzie, Gene, Valakar, the former G3 members, and Nipulon. With them, Taylor finally finds the belonging and unconditional support she never had at home, learning to trust, love, and be herself.
Story: The story begins just before the G3 invasion of Earth. Taylor, already used to turmoil at home, is the first to notice the chaos erupting outside—alien ships darkening the sky, city blocks in upheaval, and the unmistakable presence of G3 forces led by Garmantuous, Nipulon, and Dr. Giblits. Instinctively, Taylor grabs her double-axe bass guitar for protection, a familiar weight in her hands amid the unknown.
She searches for her parents, but they are nowhere to be found. Only later does she learn the truth: they’ve been taken, swept up in the invasion’s first wave of kidnappings.
Taylor doesn’t escape for long. The G3 cartel targets her—“high-quality” human stock—and she’s captured and transported across the galaxy to Port Terrene. There, Nipulon himself oversees the VIP storage facility where Taylor is held, a prisoner among the cartel’s most prized captives.
But Taylor is nothing if not resourceful. Concealing a screwdriver she’d managed to smuggle in, she waits for the right moment and orchestrates a daring escape from Nipulon’s Spire. Her breakout becomes legend—the first human to ever slip from a G3 cartel facility. Enraged, Garmantuous commands Nipulon to track her down, no matter the cost.
Pursued by cartel troops, Taylor flees through a dangerous rift zone, emerging battered in the wild beauty of Zephyr Paradise. Her escape is not without consequence—a brutal encounter with a swarm of Mytes leaves her with a scar slashed across her left eye, a constant reminder of the price of freedom.
In Zephyr Paradise, Taylor crosses paths with Kouler, a four-limbed Gatlien who’s also on the run. The two quickly form a bond, their mutual desperation forging a sibling-like connection. But safety remains elusive. Elite forces soon track them down, capturing both and delivering them to a mysterious company led by a Mafia named Valakar Von Due, a former G3 cartel member with a complicated past.
At first, Taylor is wary of Valakar’s intentions, her trust long since shattered by those in authority. Yet Valakar sees her pain and resilience, coming to regard her as the daughter he never had. He formally adopts Taylor, and, recognizing the deep bond she’s formed with Kouler, gifts the Gatlien to her as both companion and ally—just as Kouler once was to him.
Trivia:
Taylor, along with Kouler and Nipulon, began to have beef with each other before getting trapped in the underground.
They both hate each other, but they still start developing feelings for each other.
Fun fact: Taylor was created to have beef with Nipulon, making them hate each other, and to be redeemed afterwards, giving him two pairs of legs after his robot legs were damaged, so he can start a new life with the Axle, the bounty hunter, and the others. And making Nipulon Taylor's second dad be there for her.
When designing Taylor, her age was supposed to be 16 years old, but was changed to 13 due to the 1st High on Life. the DLC High on Knife, which is a sequal to High on Life, takes place 2 years after Garmantuous’s defeat, when she turns 15 years old, and the sequel for High on Life 2 also takes place 3 years before she turns 18, before going to college wanting to become a Rockstar/Artist.
When she turns 18, she’ll take on the role of the new bounty hunter along with her Gatlian gun, Kouler. This setup allows Taylor to be 18, the same age as Axle (Bounty Hunter). He met Kenny back on Earth when he began working as a bounty hunter, hired by Gene Zaroothian and tasked to hunt the G3, find the Gatlians, and defeat Garmantuous during the events of the first High on Life game.
Taylor’s appearance and personality are inspired by a blend of iconic animated characters, each contributing to the depth and complexity she embodies. Her hair closely resembles Mai Sui’s from the Netflix film Next Gen—though Taylor’s is a different color—mirroring Mai’s distinct visual flair and youthful expressiveness. At 13, Taylor’s rebellious, angsty energy channels both Mai and Uzi Doorman from Murder Drones, as reflected in her defiant attitude, anger, and tendency to push back against authority.
Additionally, Taylor’s resilience and warmth are inspired by Kipo from Kipo and the Age of the Wonderbeasts, who stays hopeful and compassionate even in the face of adversity. Taylor’s emotional volatility, raw vulnerability, and unpredictable rebelliousness are influenced by Jinx from Arcane, lending greater nuance and depth to her trauma and personal growth. From Sari Sumdac of Transformers Animated, Taylor draws a resourceful, inventive spirit and a strong desire to shape her own destiny.
The Lost Arcanum party + Blind Beholder crew + Rosaria! (The ferret is named Hercules and he’s very shy) Now imagine all of them cooped up on a fairly small ship. For weeks. I’ve been meaning to draw everyone for a while now, sort of also to figure out how our different elves look... All the blondes are Valakar (Sun Elf) Velethuil, Therion, Oliviana, and Rosaria are Varan (Wood Elf) Rinaya is obv a Drow (Moon Elf) Elwyn is part Valakar, part Varan (maybe someday we will learn more of his backstory)
Elwyn isn’t always paying attention... (But even if he was, he’s too nice lol)

“Imagine, you’re on the high seas, you take and you… how you say, there's a ritual, we have an eye of a beholder, do you know what that is?”
A birthday gift for @8ard, from a cool scene in one of our games where Captain Quinkian told us a really cool story about how she got her hands on a beholder’s eye! (And also Lori got flustered)
I haven’t figured out quite what their armor looks like yet so she’s literally just in some stuff straight from the Wonder Woman movie ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
