BLINDSIDED for a scene from my muse's past in which they were betrayed or shocked by what someone did

It wasn't something too deeply shocking nor it was a very personal betrayal, but when young Anika was tasked with one of her very first missions and set out to reach the Ash Citadel in Valecia for the Deep One, she found out that undead creatures tended to obey her because of her patron's presence, so she was able to climb on the back of a ghoul to get out of a swampy area right outside the walls of the city. Unfortunately, she ran into an adventuring party made of clerics and paladins of the goddess of light and altruism Drana - the deity thanks to which holy blood runs in her veins, but that also stands against undeath and the unholy. They weren't happy to see a ghoul obeying her, and they identified her as the necromancer who caused the Ash Citadel to be cursed and the undead to roam freely outside of the walls. Unfortunate... especially for them, when the gates of the city opened for her and a guard from inside incinerated them while she ran through at full speed.

What is the story of your muse’s first kiss? What was changed in that moment?

"Oh, what changed? That same night I became a woman. Fairly late for my current point of view, but considering my personal experience, there couldn't have been a better moment."

Surprisingly, her expression softens with an almost longing smile.

"You can't forget your first love, they say. I'm no difference when it comes to Xilla. She's an Aviari, she's got beautiful feathers and wings, and nature and magic dance with her when she performs. We had met before, but when she and her tribe sensed the Deep One they became wary; the second time, we sneaked away in a cave behind a waterfall, had a dance, and that led to the first kiss and much more. It was amazing, to say the least."

"We spent a few weeks together after that; I used to travel alone back then, but I had already done it for years, so I felt responsible when she gave adventuring a try. We travelled together until we reached the meeting point with her group, then we bid each other farewell, 'until we meet again'. That moment hasn't come yet, but I'm sure it will, when I get to return to my home country."
