Valengender was coined by anamika/Fandom user Cryptocrew on February 14, 2021.
Valengender is described as “a aesthetigender in which ones gender is tied to valentines day, romance, romantic activity, romantic aesthetics and valentines day aesthetics. Anyone could use this term, whether or not they experience romantic attraction, so long as they feel a deep gendered connection to romance and valentines day. This term has multiple definitions.
The first definition is a mutogender that only is felt during valentines day, marriage/dating anniversaries, while watching romantic TV, while reading romantic stories, or when in a romantic aesthetic. It may be attracted to all of these romantic aesthetics/days/situations, only a few of them, or only one of them, depending on the person.
The second definition is a gender that 'turns on' and 'turns off' when one is around romantic settings. For example, a valenby may find romantic anime to be their 'trigger,' and they may remain feeling non-binary until they watch a romantic anime once again.
The third definition is a gender that fluctuates or changes when in a romantic setting.
The fourth and final definition is a xenogender that feels romantic, loving, passionate, flirtatious or adoring. It may feel this way all the time, or it may only feel this way during Valentines day or other romantic situations.”
Timoir: A gender related to love, hearts, Valentine’s Day, magenta, affection, cuddling, and dates. This gender feels soft, warm, affectionate, comforting, and full of love.
It’s related to fairy light, bouquets, roses, pink flowers, late night drives, big cities at night, and looking up at the night sky with your partner.
This gender also feels like darkness, bad things, and sadness hiding behind cuteness, kindness, etc. as well as being related to the fear of having your heart broken - Part of the Atmosfear System
The name comes from “T[imo]” the Esperanto word for fear and “[imo]r” from “Aimor” the Aragonese word for love.
The colors are just general Valentines things, with the darker colors relating to fear and heartbreak
