"The where is easy. I'd go home, to my family and my people. It would simplify a lot of things, having the leader of the berserkers in the same place as the rest of the Council. She knew it was a bad idea to leave the house.

It was a worse idea to wander into town, into a bakery no less. If the goal was to avoid people, clearly she must have lost her mind to be doing the exact opposite. Still, Valentina could not exactly turn around and walk back out the door, and so she drew the hood of her sweater down further over her face and approached the counter with her eyes on her feet.

“No. Just coffee. Black.”

Qhuinn’s eyes flared when she saw who came into her bakery. The woman may have been obviously trying to hide herself, but there was little she could do to hide her aura or scent. Or that accent when she spoke. It made tears spring to her eyes, as she was reminded of how much she missed Mercy and how worried she was about him and Noah. She squished those thoughts though, giving the woman a soft, compassionate smile.

“Of course. How are you Valentina?” she asked quietly, as not to draw attention to the other.

Victor was in a good mood, for once. He’d managed to finish his work for the day, both in the Institute and his reapings, and he’d had a smoke, taken Jacob out and then put him to bed. It was a good day. He had wandered along the beach, his scythe at his side, as usual, humming, and then headed up towards the cafe. As he turned the corner, though, he was bumped into by an unfamiliar figure. “Schiesse!” He yelped, stepping back, and looked at her. “Are you alright?”

Skirting around yet another person who seemed to be wildly incapable of handling their liquor, Valentina hiked up her gown with the intention of stepping outside for a breather. She did not mind the party, per se, but it did get overwhelming quite fast. Mercy was off mingling, life of the party that he was, and she had kept up for as long as she could, but sooner or later, she waved him off as he called for yet another round of shots. Not all of them had a supernatural metabolism, after all. Knocking back the rest of the mixed drink she held, she set her glass on a table and was nearly out the door when someone stepped into her path. “Me?” She asked, looking over her shoulder to see if the redhead was speaking to someone else. “I am going to go outside for minute, actually. It is very hot inside, no?”

Wide green eyes popped when Daisy got a good look at the woman that she had stopped. It had been random really, she just wanted to be close to someone and have a little fun. But boy..had she made a really good choice. The woman was so exotically beautiful and voluptuous enough to make her feel even more flushed. And that was before she opened her mouth. “Wow...” The witch breathed out, mouth forming a small ‘O’ before she was able to find what passed for proper words. “You have a really pretty accent. You’re so beautiful!” Daisy blinked a little, taking another long swallow of her cider as she tried to not make a fool of herself. “Yes you!” she nodded. “But we can go outside instead if you want. It is kinda hot in here..” Daisy had to agree with that. Maybe a little fresh air would help her own overheated body. “Oh I’m Daisy! What’s your name?”
