“Man this place is fucky.” RJ observed to no one in particular, swinging his feet from his perch at the top of a tree, eating candies and letting the wrappers fall to the ground at his feet as they may. “First of all, I’m not gonna complain about the lodging, it’s absolutely fantastic, but the fact it comes with dogs and a small horse should have been brought up to me before. Second of all, There sure are a lot of fucking rules on this island for a place where you can literally own a human- Fair play to the folk who came up with it- Bout time, if you ask me, but really, I get yelled at for having my scythe out, and Peter, Paul and Mary are three feet away having hardcore athletic sex and one of them is totally thinking about just ignoring the safe word. But yeah, my sharp stick is a cause for concern.” He tutted, another wrapper fluttering down to the sand before he dropped a piece of the taffy itself, plinking harmlessly off the top of a stranger’s head. “Oy! Look out below!” He bellowed, laughing and clattering his wings behind his back. “Mind throwin’ that back up here? I really like the berry kind- If you want I can hit you with all these banana ones instead.”
Fresh air, time to do the things that she enjoyed. A few hours a day to not have to worry about work. Such easy promises to have made at the time, when she had been recovering from a scare and finally confessed everything from the safety of her boyfriend’s arms. But as it often was with Qhuinn, saying those things and sticking to them were two entirely different worlds. Even more so now with only two employees, one of who was sick themselves, in the middle of the holiday rush. She was truly trying though, and it showed that day when she decided to take a long lunch outside, instead of grabbing a quick sandwich while she updated patient charts or iced cookies. Even her lunch consisted of a pretty balanced diet, making her feel like quite the fucking grownup indeed. With Remus at her side, she walked along until she found a nice shady tree to take a load off under. Qhuinn’s dark head tilted as she got closer, and noted the ruckus and rain of candy wrappers coming from above. Her smile, when she saw Mercy, was impossibly fond. “Wouldn’t happen to have any chocolate ones, would you honey?”
