Cinediario 2024 - novembre
Valerija (2023) Sara Jurinčić
Tired, cold, and alone, Zara stood outside of Valerija’s apartment. Though she’d been successful, the trials of her last job had not been kind to her. A younger Zara might’ve gone to her own apartment, adamant to deal with her problems on her own. However, now at the ripe old age of twenty-one, Zara had begun to realize that sometimes it was good to lean on others for help. Her arms were covered in small cuts, she had nearly spent all of her energy dropping off the cursed item at her apartment, and she was shivering from head to toe from the torrential downpour outside. Now was one of those times she needed to lean on someone else.
The door was answered almost immediately after she knocked on it. “If you’re not busy tonight, I could really use some help cleaning myself up.” Zara tried to laugh to lighten the mood, but that only caused her to cough up some blood.

30° MedFilm Festival - concorso cortometraggi
your cousins would sell you out if they ever got the chance
“That’ll never happen.” Zara was confident in her answer, but the idea still made her uneasy. “If they do, they better not under-price me.”
Your family thinks you're a monster.
“Well, they’re not wrong, are they?” Aside from being part-vampire, Zara had committed some less than favourable acts in her time.
hehe 😈🤭
Nate didn’t really want to be here anymore, although like a lot of things in his life no one seemed to take what he wanted with any grain of salt. The pure chaos that was starting to happen made him want to duck into hallways and stay hidden, but he’d get caught eventually.
He didn’t dare drop the bottles either knowing that he’d get in way worse trouble if he didn’t have them. Whoever really thought he’d be good at this was clearly mistaken. He could charm and get people to bend, but he wasn’t supposed to be here. He was sure he could get people to believe he snuck in for a good time, but he needed people not to pat him down and he wasn’t sure if he could manage that.
Still, he saw a familiar face, and figured he could probably bluff a little bit to get a way out.
“Valerija?” He said softly ducking out of his hiding place. “Hey. Fancy meeting you again in a perilous situation. Any idea of what’s going on?”
