I think Red, White, and Stripes of Blue is an American BL and not a queer movie. Of all the Western queer movies or series I've seen and this doesn't even hold a candle to them, and I don't think it will age well either.

The plot felt very Thai BL-like; enemies to lovers trope, keeping the relationship a secret because it will be a catastrophe if it comes out trope.

It's very yaoi.

This felt like a very mid-Wattpad story that got funding to be adapted to a movie.
