someone i have to interview for work was elected mayor when he was 21 😭 parks and rec coded

#not gonna lie being in public service in rural america is so parks and rec coded anyways..

i'm so excited for next week i'm going to a professional development seminar in another state AND im driving myself so i can do some sightseeing/shopping there and dont need to worry abt making any flights 🙏but I still have today and monday as regular workdays to get through :/

#last time i travelled by myself for work i went by plane and the whole experience was so bad i decided fuck ittt #ill just drive myself.#plus its not absurdly far. 9 hours not counting any side trips

so excited i'm going to see hadestown tomorrow ! The movie, not live but still !

#fun fact ☝️ my parents took my sister & her girlfriend to see hadestown on broadway and i couldnt go bc they scheduled the trip #for while i was in florida with my cheer squad :/ like yeah okay i got to perform on tv. and go to disneyworld #but an invite would have been nice! they also went to see the radio city rockettes which i was ESPECIALLY bitter abt bc i know #im the only person in the family who actually gives a shit about dance :/

if i get even one phonecall at work today i'm killing myself. It's a beautiful summer friday everyone should be slacking off while working from home or taking a vacation day. Except me obviously

#i prefer to wfh only one day per week bc my gym is in the town i work in not the city i live in and i like to go 4 times a week #and i very rarely come to this town when im not working bc its like a 40 minute commute

i dont wanna sound judgemental but i get so annoyed at the gym when i see some guy sprinting his little heart out on the elliptical with the resistance set at ONE. girl just go get in the treadmill

#my coworker was complaining abt how bad it hurt getting a crown so i shared my own story abt dislocating my jaw and it turns out #there was a meeting going on in the baord room we were standing directly outside of the whole time 😭#they could probably hear the whole story. mind you its nearly the end of the day why are they meeting NOW #and why up here... their dept is literally in the basement what do you need the board room for...#oh well. not like ill see any of their faces for the next month or so (basement dwellers) so ill probably be over it by then

i went like completely broke that summer bc nepo intern wanted to go out to lunch together every single day... like girl ik your mom is a ceo but i had to take leave from my job at w*lmart to be here...

#luckily her internship was only 1 month mine was for the entire summer. i spent the rest of my summer eating instant oatmeal #at my desk + an energy drink #for lunch every day lol
