like. in my defense, putting it in a jar makes it easier to mix and i have been waiting for iced coffee season for fuckin ever. also lavender syrup is yummy and i make it myself. annnnd the jar sweats and i dont wanna get water all over the desk.....

writes a drabble for characters probably no one has heard of or remembers

“For the last timeRust, dog’s don’t wear clothes.”

“This is a seriousquestion Peri, how would a dog wear pants? Over the hind legs or allthe legs?”

The green hairedgirl sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose between slender fingersand thumb, “If I answer will you stop bothering me so I can read mymanga in peace?”

“Absolutely, yes,”Rust responded with a toothy smile that reached from ear to ear.

“Then, I suppose,”Peri paused to eye her brother suspiciously, “That it would be likeif a person was walking on all fours, because the front legs arecomparable to arms. So only on the back legs with the waist of thepants around the dog’s waist. Do you feel better now?”

“I agree with youcompletely sister, I knew you’d have the answer to such animportant question,” the boy smiled again as he backed out of theroom. “That’s why I come to you for these sorts of matters youknow.”

Peri gazed afterhim, easily not impressed by his foolishness, “I’d say you couldbe a lawyer but that would probably be an in insult to Mother. Apolitician maybe.”

With a laugh Rustwas about to leave, giving his sister the sanctity of her room afterpestering her about  dogs’ pants for the better part of theafternoon. He hadn’t shut-up about it since their shared lastperiod class, continuing on the bus ride home. Peri hated bus days,she preferred it when one of the Moms was off to pick them up. Herorange haired twin stood in the doorway for a moment longer, juststaring at her with a smile. She made a face and waived her hand toencourage him to scamper off, and finally he did. Finally she had thepeace she wanted to read her newest installment.

An hour later thedoor downstairs clicked as the parents came home. Peri thoughtnothing of it until her Mother’s voice called upstairs over theriotous laughter of Mom, “Why is the dog wearing pants?”

Rust’s laughtergave him away.

“And since when do we have a dog?!”

ps you should teach me how to make homemade lavender syrup one day because HOLY HECK.

it’s super easy!!! 2 cups water, 1 cup sugar, 2 tbsp dried lavender, bring to a boil, then simmer covered for 15 minutes. you can strain it and chill it then, but i usually let it steep overnight in the fridge cause it makes it stronger. tastes good in coffee and lemonade and i imagine other stuff too!! ive heard of mixing it in whiskey and other cocktails but ive never done it.

lol he tried to say it’s a ruse to get more govt funding and that the science isn’t sound bc it’s only based off 100 years of data and im just here like??? which one of us is literally studying science for a living and doesnt believe every little piece of misconstrued research used to aid in conservative propaganda???

3) Eye Color: My eyes are a weird shade of greenish-blueish-greyish, sort of depends on when you’re looking at me. They used to be super blue, but then sort of washed out as the years went by. Looking at ‘em right now I’d say they’re a sort of greeny-gray with a bit of yellow in there. They can never make up their mind.

8) Favorite animal/pet: Probably cats and rats. But I also really love walruses, and armadillos, and bats, and rhinos, and orangutans, and sloths... TBH honest I just love all animals so much???

9) Favorite scent: Vanilla, definitely vanilla, or anything close to vanilla (ie the candles that are like “Cupcakes” or “Cake Batter” or whatever.) I like sweet stuff!
