Had to run out between the storm set for some supplies. Hadn’t been to town in 2weeks!!!YAY!!! Stopped at the p.o. #valleyford they have this little gallery of #christo work. When he did his famous ”Running Fence” it ran through the tiny town. Another of my fav #artists. I got to see it when I was a kid. It was beautiful. It was a big deal around here. I have followed his work ever since. “The fence was 18 ft high and 24.5 miles long, and ran into the ocean at #bodegabay It took 42 months, collaboration between 59 ranchers, 18 public hearings, 450 page environmental impact report. All self funded by Christo by selling sketches, models and pre drawings. It was completed in 1976, and stayed up for 14 days.
