The Azdarians- the city of men forged on the back of shared labor, Azdaria is the city of gold to the North. A shining city of the arts and sciences, Azdarians pride themselves on their trades and independence. Their society is built with many other races in mind, featuring great diversity compared to the others present. Despite this, they distain the past and view any history of the Draconicals as failures and weaklings.
The Domain of Malcoth the Bronze- the realm of dwarves extends beyond just the surface, taking claim to every piece of dirt and gold they create great mines. These mines and the cities that developed in them to house their workers have evolved into one large society under the control of a single house of dwarfs, the Bronze Zarkoggs. Of them, Malcoth the current head of house rules over his land and sees to foreign affairs and trade. Welcoming of any outsider, dwarves are generally friendly, until you try to steal from their mines. Suspicious of humans thanks to a battle that took place years ago, they aren’t to welcoming of their kind any deeper than their surface towns.
The Realm of the Zendulie- Elves and Drow have taken refuge in the forests of Zendulie, forming an uneasy alliance to keep out the other races. Weary of any desire to desecrate nature for the purpose of progress, the elves have become protective of their forests, and of t he ruins left in them. The High Elf ruled long ago that the ruins of the Draconical, if dug up again, could usher in a second apocalypse, sowing the seed of fear in her people. Still, their knowledge of nature and healing magic are respected and welcome the world over.
The Order of Gahla’dook- a religious order driven by the Matriarch, a near psychotic woman of unknown origins, who preach of the coming of the second Apocalypse by the hand of their god. Claiming the Draconical disobeyed their god’s will, their great deity sent down the cataclysm upon them to punish them for their arrogance. One of the largest religious groups known, they have great sway in many of the societies.
The First War- a war that brewed between dwarves and humans over control of the mountains, the war lasted ten years and left blood and foul taste in the mouths of many races. Primarily dwarves and humans, they no longer see eye to eye because of this.
The Great Sea/the Wells of Oshak- the main continent of Valnora is surrounded by a single, vast ocean too large for normal men to cover. The technology to cross it was long lost. It was said in many rumors there were other continents once, but the maelstrom of destruction reached far beyond their shores. As well, several phenomenon are known to the ocean, including the Wells of Oshak. Deep vortexes of water spiral into the unknown, around them, on the islands overlooking them, nomadic people worship them as the gateways to their gods.
