"Hey, Lord Beerus? Would it be okay if I picked your mind about something?" Despite the gravity of what's to follow, Sora's posture simply looks a little too carefree.
"I've no doubts you run across it before, but what's your view on the Darkness? Despite how it runs in all Hearts-- Do you ever get the impression that there's something alive as a part of it?" Was it part of a primal force gaining sentience? Has someone stepped too close to a possibility of conquering it?
"I must admit, it's been some time since I've been asked my opinion on such a thing- at least without a follow up request for its destruction." He'll internally note that Sora had been a bit bold coming up to him with such lax behavior, but the deity of ruination was in a calmer mood today. Luckily for Sora, Beerus would entertain the question without fussing this time... Though the next time might not be so pleasant.
Darkness and destruction, both were innate fears to most than only very few chose to accept. Neither were viewed as anything good, and yet, every being was capable of containing darkness or causing destruction, no matter the scale.
"Darkness is viewed as evil, nothing but hate. Something to run away from no matter what the cost. But like it or not, it is within everyone, accepting that fact would allow those pious ones to rest easier than being a blowhard about it, they'll burn themselves out trying to extinguish it."
As for the second question, it was most curious. He confused as to why Sora would care if Darkness was alive, did he feel empathy for it? Was he concerned about what it may want? He certainly did seem like one of those bleeding heart hero types, but a destroyer had no use for rumination on such things. He merely shrugs at the thought as he opens his mouth again.
"In one sense, you could consider it as alive, but in the end, it doesn't matter if it's alive, or even if it is actually capable of thought. It's used as a weapon, and so the wielders of said weapon are the ones you should be thinking about. You attempting to understand anymore than that would be a waste of time, wouldn't it?"
