Your local goths have arrived!
“ Over the last few days, Todd has probably noticed the strange figure tailing him from afar. Not doing anything in particular; just watching, observing. How strange. Surely they aren't doing anything nefarious, though! :) ” -- from @valsharesses !
To the initial irritation of some of his friends, Todd is no stranger to following Pokemon-- and any humans they might be with-- in order to get the shots he needs. He is not familiar, however, with the sensation of being followed in turn; it’s taken him a while to notice that one particular stranger seems to keep showing up wherever he goes, and longer still to realize that that’s due to more than just coincidence.
Curiosity has completely overtaken him, and after taking a few (subtle) pictures of his tail, Todd finally decides to confront them. He’s not mad-- it’d be rather hypocritical of him to be-- but he does want to find out what about him has caught this person’s attention.
“Hey,” he says, waving as he approaches the figure. Their large black cloak catches his eye immediately, but when he gets close enough to notice more about the person themself, including the way their ears extend deep into the shadows of their hood, he’s surprised to realize that he’s never seen anyone quite like them before. They must be from some other world... that’s so cool!
“I’ve seen you following me around recently.” He’s blunt, but his tone is light and friendly. “I’m Todd. Is there something I can do for you?”
@valsharesses
Although the average insect of Hallownest would have likely been just as disturbed by the suspicious, hooded stranger as the average human of Spirale would have been, Senka was not average (nor were they even technically a bug, if you really wanted to get into it). Though it did not escape their attention that someone dressed like this likely didn’t have the best intentions for anyone else in mind, they still found the hood and overall dark coverings to be quite nice; maybe they would actually go out in the daytime more often if they had something like that to wear themself, instead of just their raggedy old cloak.
(And believe me, it was raggedy, with tears in it revealing their eerily pitch black body underneath.)
So, although they kept their worn blade on their back just in case they needed to draw it in a hurry, the vessel approached. They grabbed onto part of the fabric and tugged gently once; they didn’t want to pull it off or anything, they just wanted to get her attention.
[Where did you get these?] They signed slowly, in the hopes that she would see and understand their words better.
valsharesses asked: Over the last few days, Mew has probably noticed the strange figure tailing them from afar. Not doing anything in particular; just watching, observing. If they don't confront this figure at any point, he will eventually stop following, and leave Mew be. He's smart enough not to fuck with a god cat. It doesn't matter what his boss says, he's out of here.
of course they notice him! it seems like every time they become aware of the auras around them, that same aura is lingering somewhere nearby.
being followed for a day is unpleasant, but not uncommon; no matter where they go, they’re destined to attract attention among humans. it’s no big deal. but when they sense him again on the afternoon of the second day, they begin to bristle. they have something important to do, and they don’t want to deal with this! they have to figure out what goes into a cake before mewtwo gets home!
they take the long way home that day, not leaving for the city of glass until they’re certain he’s gone.
on the third day, he’s there again. they’re grateful, actually - if he hadn’t continued to follow them, they would’ve had to find him on their own. this way, they just lead him to a quieter street and teleport in front of his face.
[what do you want?]
I’VE KILLED A KING, WHAT HAVE I TO FEAR IN A QUEEN? WHAT DO I HAVE TO FEAR IN A KINGDOM FILLED WITH NO-ONE?
@valsharesses
Fibonacci’s lower levels twist and turn, filled to the brim with the dregs of technology. Even pieces of scrap had their uses, and some people in the middle levels were willing to teach others how to make the best of so little.
If they liked you.
It’s a strange kind of rumor that coils to the edge of where the detritus starts--a short robot with a helmet like the hood of a King Cobra, with the eyes and sharp teeth to match. Jet black armor decorated in glowing jewels and gold, with a cruel hatred of humanity.
What otherwise makes him stick out, is that he hoards particularly expensive parts. He earns them through challenges, digging through junkyards, dust, and destruction. Bargaining for them is out of the question unless he even finds you worthy.
Even those he has, he doesn’t let go until the other leaves with less than what was worth even losing. The discerning eye of a robot is hard to beat.
Other than that, some have been lucky enough to hire him as protection for their shops. While he might be found hanging in the shadows of these places, one would find better luck in a certain junkyard.
One accented by a decrepit brick building graffitied with a lion maned wolf’s head baring it’s teeth, eyes glowing red. Crowned with a blue star jewel and golden streaks that stretch to the back of it’s head.
So stands the lone wolf on a tower of scrap, awaiting his foreign company.
@valsharesses
“Lady Sinvyl. The word on the street is that you’ve been busy lately, haven’t you? I do hope you’re enjoying yourself. Well, I mean not to keep you. This talk will be brief.”
As much as he likes the many folks he sees, most of them are capable of taking care of themselves. They make their own choices because they want to. Grimm takes his phone, showing a picture of Ismael smiling.
“I bid you not harm this one. I doubt she would have reason to try to oppose you or even come this way, but she has many friends. So long as she remains safe, I have little reason nor desire to become involved. And I would say that is a fair trade in itself.”
@valsharesses SAID: Over the last few days, Trish has probably noticed the strange figure tailing her from afar. Not doing anything in particular; just watching, observing. Maybe this woman has a crush! :) Surely there is no nefarious reason to be watched like this. :)
what was asked of her had been done. Kyrie tucked away somewhere safe, somewhere that nobody but her and a select few will know of. (Nico and Lady in particular.) somewhere where she could not be touched and remain whole-- worried, but whole -- for whenever Nero crawls his way back from the mess he’s found himself in. one thing of importance taken care of.....
and another, falling right into her lap.
she knows a tail when she sees one. at first, she considered it to be nothing to worry of. what harm could a mortal do to her? but days passed, it continued, and after that call from Nero-- it is not nothing. countless years hunting demons, working with Dante, existing within the human world has her a seasoned veteran. she knows that this woman who has followed her from corner to corner, down packed corridors between buildings and down stairs was sent for a purpose. she could try to lose her within Fibonacci’s lower levels. but she has no want to. in fact, she wants to be followed. Nero had said ‘they’. that meant more than one. and she would bet Rebellion that this woman following her was a part of that ‘they’.
so she’ll turn left, effortlessly weaving through bodies into a narrow alleyway, making a right and another left until all that is heard is the sound of her boots against wet pavement. and right as the woman turns the corner to hopefully catch sight of of the demon, she will find nothing but an empty dead-end. the demoness is gone, but only for a minute.
“ The hounds of hell could hear you a mile beneath the surface, hun.” her voice sounds suddenly from beneath the woman, head cocked to the side as her eyes narrow. the air surrounding her is charged with something. nothing that will hurt the other, of course. but she doesn’t know that.
