These things remind him awfully a lot of of the mutant hexed hares from Klein with their multitudes of weirdly shaped fangs and eyes, long limbs that tag along even in an uneven terrain like this. He's managed to tag some of them off of him with spells but there's just too many of them so right now Eiden can't do much else than run.
His legs are really starting to feel that however and swapping to his wings only makes very little difference.
" Shit is there anyone around here....

With the constant light in the sky, it's hard to discern whether it's night or day with a mere look. One has to use a clock or recognize the social patterns to determine the hour of the day. With the shops barely opening, it's evident that the sun is about to rise.
G'raha Tia wakes as the Crystal Exarch. He looks upon the Musica Universalis Markets preparing for the first sale of the day. As the shopkeepers move about, they greet the Exarch with generosity and respect. Some offer their first baked goods of the morning, begging the Exarch to taste and offer advice on their products. Soon enough, the Exarch has a basket of products in his free hand.
While the scene lends to familiarity, he knows this cannot be real. It's been years since he's been the Exarch. As he turns, he nearly runs into a young redhead who stands amid the morning rush.
"Good morning, young miss," he says, only revealing a soft smile underneath his hood. G'raha examines the young girl's attire, realizing she dresses differently than the people of Norvrandt. "' Tis obvious you aren't from here. If you require assistance, I shall provide it. The denizens of the Crystarium are prone to suspicion, so pray do not pay attention to the unusual glances you may receive. Come, I shall show you around the Crystarium, my home."
How is it that he slips into this role so quickly? Does he miss being the Exarch? G'raha Tia isn't quite sure... G'raha seems like a familiar name. Who is G'raha Tia?
The Exarch lowers his chin in contemplation. "Pray forgive me; this morning has left my mind foggy. Mayhaps I need a cup of coffee to wake me up. Are you of age to enjoy such beverages?"

a sick and twisted joke was all he could think of it as. not so much being spirited away -- that was merely an inconvenience he had not planned to encounter -- but the deeper he found himself travelling through the mist-covered city, the more cruel his surroundings became. the foreign cityscape had turned into one he had not witnessed in roughly two decades, a pure white city almost magical that plummeted further and further into destruction the more he ventured forth. cold eyes were locked upon the path going forth, expression unamused and tongue clicked to further emphasis that the tall male was not, in fact, amused.
his grip around kikoku tightened. just as he thought he had lost his precious blade it had appeared by his side as though by magic although law was not a believer in such. for a while now he had felt a presence somewhere behind that felt different from the intangible soldiers running around all over the place and it bothered him that he couldn’t pinpoint its location although his only guess would be that it meant others were roaming around in here too. now the question was just: friend or foe? there was one effective way to find out, and with a low mutter law summoned a ‘room’ to better search. “shambles,” he muttered to substitute himself with the mist some metres away to pop op as though out of thin air right before a much smaller girl.
satisfaction filled him upon locating the stranger, but his glance remained ice cold as he looked down. “you don’t belong here,” he simply commented. “it’s in bad taste to peek into someone else’s nightmares, don’t you think so?”
Two faces anything from bearing strong resemblance to perfect matches was story across the city with few exceptions; separate, yet incomplete, identities reunited once a particular floodgate opened up. In this case, their likeness expanded beyond physical appearance — through weary Cotes streets, they both carried bags packed with foodstuffs toward a destination unclear.
Directing a mere glance toward the firewall, Lily stepped in their direction with hands hanging loosely either side. “Do you need help with those? They look heavy. If I were to guess, the way you’re heading leads towards the Underside. without protection, that’s a dangerous decision, no matter how well your intentions”. The younger redhead easily became the focal point of the woman’s attention, examined on the one side of her field of view. “Are there any from your city taking residence in that area? There are a number of clinics which would offer shelter to any sleeping rough”.

❛❛ Nagamasa, I’ve been thinking... ❜❜ Maria rested her chin on her right hand.
❛❛ ...About what, honorable elder sister ? ❜❜ Oh no —– Nagamasa could already tell that trouble was brewing. Whenever Maria grew deep in thought, a new self-serving scheme of hers wasn’t far behind. Seriously ——– how could she still act so self-centered in the middle of this calamity ?
❛❛ Performing on my own is fun, but...it’s just not enough, you know ? I want to shine more, I want to capture everyone’s attention even more...and you know what’d be perfect for that ? Backup dancers ! Hurry up and recruit some, Nagamasa. ♪ ❜❜ Maria grinned at her younger brother. However, the sharp look she gave him told him that her words were an order, not a request.
❛❛ With all due respect, honorable elder sister —– now is not the time ! This new world is dangerous, especially with that strange fog rolling in. We need to hurry and get to safety ! First, we should get to higher ground, and then ——– ❜❜
❛❛ You’re such a bore, Nagamasa. ❜❜ Maria interrupted him, her lips curling into a pout. ❛❛ It’s not even that hard to find backup dancers. I’m sure someone like that girl will do. ❜❜
Maria pointed towards a person who’d just arrived ——– and to Nagamasa’s horror, it was someone he knew ! While Nagamasa was frozen in shock, Maria skipped over to Hikaru, setting a dainty hand on her cheek.
❛❛ Young lady, wouldn’t you like to become mine ? Doesn’t it sound like fun, dancing together with me ? ♪ ❜❜ Maria twirled her finger around a lock of Hikaru’s hair and smiled at her. Before she could try to charm the girl any further, though, Nagamasa jumped in between the two of them.
❛❛ Honorable elder sister, she hasn’t even agreed to this ! Just what do you think you’re doing ?! ❜❜ Nagamasa then turned to Hikaru, an apologetic look forming on his face. ❛❛ Hikaru, I...this is all a misunderstanding ! This is my older sister, Maria —– please don’t feel like you have to go along with everything she tells you to do. ❜❜

Hotaru walked quietly down the path, her gaze travelling to the various planets as they drifted past. Each one reminded her of her fellow guardians, and she wondered what they were all doing now.
Her thoughts came to a stop as a familiar planet floated close. Reaching out, the planet, which was the size of a small beach ball settled in her hands.
“...Saturn.” Uttering the name of her guardian planet in nothing but a whisper was enough to make the hairs on her arms stand on end.
