Why don't you think Gendry will be mad at Arya when they reunited? I think he will be (just for a little bit, of course) Not because of her rejection, but for leaving without saying goodbye. But I might be wrong. I'd love to hear your opinion!

Okay so since we both agree he won't be mad about the rejection I'll just address Arya leaving. There are two times she left: once in 8x04 and again in 8x06.

The first time in 8x04 given the timing I think it was pretty obvious Arya was going to join Jon at the Battle for King's Landing. I don't think Gendry would blame her for that. And I'm almost positive it was around the same time that Gendry himself left for Storm's End so it's not like Arya left him behind in Winterfell, he was leaving anyways. I'd say he was disappointed Arya took off without saying goodbye but he likely felt she felt awkard about the whole thing and didn't want to address it, so he'd forgive her for that and possibly even be a little grateful because he is also feeling awkward about it (since it was all still so fresh).

The second time was in 8x06. The whole finale was kinda jumbled and incoherent so most of this is speculation, but we know Arya and Gendry saw one another at the Dragon Pit Meeting and we know the meeting was longer than the segment we saw in the episode. I simply cannot believe Arya and Gendry didn't talk at all when they were in the same space like that, it makes no sense. That would be like if Sansa didn't talk to Lord Royce or her uncle Edmure, or if Davos didn't talk to Gendry. The finale was OOC but the characters aren't so OOC they completely forgot they know each other.

But that being said, even *hypothetically* if Arya left without saying a single word to Gendry (which I highly doubt because he was sitting three seats away from her for hours) I simply cannot believe he'd resent her for that. For him to be angry it would imply he feels entitled to Arya in some capacity. Entitled to know what is going on her life and entitled to her time. Gendry's not like that. Firstly they aren't together, and secondly Gendry is the type to think he doesn't deserve things or people regardless. I just cannot in my right mind imagine a world where Gendry was mad at Arya for going off on an adventure simply because she didn't talk to him first. Maybe sad or disappointed, as I said before, but not mad. Especially the older more matured Gendry we have in the show, who is 5 years Arya's senior. This guy is a full-fledged adult. He definitely has more emotional maturity than she does.

At the end of the day if Arya meets with Gendry again it would mean she sought him out (I don't see Gendry taking a sabbatical West any time soon), and that would mean something to Gendry. That gesture would move him, that she cares enough to go looking for him. Because it would be incredibly out of her way to come by Storm's End. I can't see him being angry at her for leaving in the first place when he is just so over the moon she came back, because that means she cares about him.

In my opinion Gendrya are at a point in their relationship where they are simply above all the drama. They have been through so much together. They survived an apocalypse together, they fought zombies side-by-side with the last dragon queen. And there is so much love and respect between them. Even if Gendry got to a low point where he felt bitter towards her, the moment he lays his eyes on her again all that would go away.

I actually agree with what Joe and Maisie have said about it so far. I agree with Joe that Gendry proposing was premature and he probably feels embarrassed but doesn't blame Arya for turning him down. I agree with Maisie that if they met again it would be awkward at first (awkward because Gendry is embarrassed for proposing and Arya feels bad for turning him down -- There is simply no way Arya didn't feel something about his proposal and doesn't think about it anymore, it's probably constantly on her mind).

They changed their ending last minute, that´s it.

this is what i think in the end happened. i think d&d were mad that people guessed the ending and changed a large portion of it (because they couldn’t deal with it being predictable).  also in addition they wanted to rush through the final season.
