Idea Box Pedagogical Value: Wider Net
Digital media enables access and exposure to a wider variety of resources than ever. Rather than read and respond to a single author or textbook, when students are asked to cast a wider net and they can engage with more sources. This is fitting preparation for professional and personal use of media in which they will encounter a proliferation of choices and voices.
