i’ve decided that instead of expanding what i think vampire jughead would be like in more of an informal essay type of format, i’ll actually write fanfic about it! i just think the concept of jughead as a vampire is so interesting.

still waiting on that ao3 invite that should be coming in a few days, but if i have something written beforehand i’ll post it here first! i’m not sure how well it’ll do but i’m sure there are at least three people who are interested in jughead as a vampire lol

can’t stop thinking about the ask i got in my inbox about what jughead would be like as a vampire and now i have no choice but to write more about it

What would jughead be like as a vampire?

jughead is always hungry and when he eats, he can eat very large portions. the guy just can’t stop eating. so, imagine if blood became his only source of energy.

honestly there are two ways i can see vampire jughead. he could be absolutely feral and always on the hunt. he would stalk his prey outside of pop’s or in fox forest or pretty much anywhere at night. once he catches his next meal, he just tears them apart because he is so bloodthirsty. being a vampire could make him forget any morality he had and just become a full blown monster.

or he could still hold onto his morals. he would still be very bloodthirsty, but he would have very complicated feelings about sucking somebody’s blood. he would fear that he might accidentally attack one of his friends. there might be a few times where he lost some control, but he would try his best to fulfill his appetite in other ways. he might just eat raw or very rare meat when he camps out at pop’s for long hours.

either way, he would just be starving, like, all the time. and he would be even more enthralled by monster movies. since he would know what the vampire experience is like, he might be more critical about those movies. he would also get so fixated on any vampire media. just imagine the amount of books about vampires he’d check out from the library.

i probably have more thoughts on this but i am tired lol. anyway thank you for this ask anon i loved it!!
