🌸. ‘ Betty’ ELIZABETH JANE COOPER X ‘JUGHEAD’ FORSYTHE PENDLETON JONES ( PAST & PRESENT )
PAST : A witch, known to be the reason for the town’s loss of children & youth. For she craves the desire to be young and beautiful forevermore. Seeks out for the vampire circling around, hears stories of him, of the blood-sucking monster that lurks the night. Legend has it, he has murdered his headmaster. Comes to him with promises, for she a witch can offer him the world if he wants it. Only if he gives her YOUTH for eternity. Youth isn’t free, and the deal between them is made, but it’s she, he wants. To be his for eternity, to be his bride. She can almost feel the tightness of her flesh, her skin beautiful forever, blonde hair never to fade to white. A vampire and a witch, a story unknown, it’s a jest. Many would have never seen it coming, but oh, how the two will become quite a pair. To bring terror to their town, and to all of those above them. Even those of their own kind. Nobody is safe.
Grim secret

CLEANSING, PURIFICATION and CONSECRATION
CLEANSING, PURIFICATION and CONSECRATION
Sunday School Week 2
Cleansing, purification and consecration, sort of the same things but different, and yet are all vital things when it comes to working with energies and magic.
Cleansing: The act of making something clean, ridding it of dirt or energies that contaminate it.
Purification: The act of making something spiritually clean often for ceremonial purposes.
Consecration: The act of making something usually through a spiritual ritual of sorts and declaring it sacred or holy.
(Hint these are things you should know, add them to your glossary in your BOS)
To cleanse something is to actually clean it. Whether that is by washing it, or smudging, you are making the item clean. Cleansing is not only a physical act of cleaning, but a spiritual one as well, while you may wash something with soap and water and think it is clean, you’re right, but there are still energies that could be clinging to it that can affect you, your magic or others around you.
Let’s say you go yard selling, which I do often because I love a bargain and seeing what treasures I can find. You find a great set of candle holders which you think would be great for your alter, (or even for your home in general) so you get them, and you take them home. The just need a little dusting and then they’re good as new. You wash them and dry them and put them in their place and now you’re done. But what you failed to see, and realize was that you’re not only buying the physical item and taking it with you, but you are also taking with you their spiritual residue. Everything and everyone puts off energies, and vibrations. These energies can and will cling to anything and everything. Not all of these energies are bad, but at the same time, they aren’t all good either. What I like to do when I go out is to carry some salt with me, or a special mixture of mine which serves the same purpose. Before I put the items in my car that I purchased I will sprinkle them with salt to rid any vibrations and energies clinging to the item. Once I get it home, then I will wash it (If need be) or sprinkle it with holy water, or mist it with a cleansing spray. If it is going to be used for ritual then I will proceed to purifying it for ritual and lastly consecrating it for its purpose.
So now that I have cleansed the candleholders by dusting them washing them, sprinkling them with salt and misting them with holy water, now I want to make them ready for my altar. The purification process here, and the consecration part, go almost hand in hand. At this point I will use the elements to purify the candle holders and then lastly I will consecrate them by declaring them sacred and holy and thusly ready for ritual purposes. Below is a generalized process I use to purify an object.
PURIFICATION PROCESS:
1. Gather together a vessel of salt, some incense, a vessel of water and a candle.
2. Arrange these items in the 4 directions for which they belong, salt in the North for Earth, Incense in the East for Air, Water in the West for Water and the candle in the South for Fire.
3. Light the incense and the candle.
4. When you are ready, starting with the salt, raise it in salute to the North and say: “By the powers of the Earth in the North I do hereby consecrate this Salt by your powers and in your name that it may bless and purify that which it touches to serve a higher purpose. With harm to none, so mote it be.” Continue to the Incense now (careful not to burn yourself or anything else) Lift it in salute to the east and say: : “By the powers of the Air in the East I do hereby consecrate this Incense by your powers and in your name that it may bless and purify that which it touches to serve a higher purpose. With harm to none, so mote it be.” Now the candle, again be careful because of the flames and the hot wax, lift in salute to the south and say: : “By the powers of the Fire in the South I do hereby consecrate this Candle by your powers and in your name that it may bless and purify that which it touches to serve a higher purpose. With harm to none, so mote it be.” Last the water, lift it in salute to the west and say: : “By the powers of the Water in the West I do hereby consecrate this Water by your powers and in your name that it may bless and purify that which it touches to serve a higher purpose. With harm to none, so mote it be.”
5. Now place the candle holder in the center of the elements. When you are ready gently sprinkle it with salt sad say: “By the Earth you are purified and blessed” carefully pass it through the incense smoke, and say: “By the Air you are purified and blessed” Now carefully pass it over the candles flame and say: “By the Fire you are purified and blessed” Last lightly sprinkle it with water and say: “By the Water you are purified and blessed” Set it back down in the center of the elements (If you hadn’t done so already) and tap it three times with your pointer finger on your power hand (The dominant hand that you use for everyday things) and say: “By the Spirit you are purified and blessed, and thusly charged to aid me in my craft so mote it be. As above so below, it is done!”
You now are able to use this for ritual jewelry, tools, clothing, anything second hand you may wish to use for the craft. Just remember to be very careful around the incense and the candle and depending on the materials of the items you are purifying, be cautious of the water as well.
It is a wise idea to ALWAYS cleanse and purify and consecrate your ritual items before using them, especially for the first time. Some people will do this before every use, some once a month, some once a year, and then there are some who don’t do it at all. It is up to you, but remember, that by doing this regularly that you are keeping your tools and things vibrating with their best energies, and also with your energies. Regardless of the tool it serves no true purpose without your power and will behind it. Its energies are your energies, though they can easily pick up other energies along the way. You don’t want someone else’s energies or some stray energy attaching itself to your ritual or magic and throwing it off kilter.
