Ok, here's a scenario forall of you:A betrothed couple(named Justine and Pierre)in 1740's Paris get to know each other before their wedding, and realize that they are both destined to hunt vampires, and so,Justine and Pierre do just that, ridding Paris of vampires and doing such an excellent job doing that that the King of France himself becomes intrigued by them, and grants them the privilege of being "The King's Royal Vampire Slayers".
Eternal Night
In shadows deep, where whispers sigh, A girl walks softly, beneath the sky. With skin like porcelain, a radiant glow, Her beauty enchants, but few truly know.
Eyes like embers, a captivating flame, She dances through darkness, yet hides her name. A smile so sweet, like sugar spun gold, But beneath that surface, a story unfolds.
Each heartbeat echoes in silence profound, A thirst for the night, where secrets are found. The moonlight caresses her delicate grace, Yet danger lurks deep in that haunting embrace.
Her laughter like music, a siren's call, Enticing the souls of those who might fall. With elegance woven into every thread, But beware of the charm, for they’ll soon be fed.
In gardens of shadows, she wanders alone, A creature of beauty, yet carved from stone. The world sees the light, but the darkness she keeps, A tale of allure that never quite sleeps.
So dance, lovely girl, in your velvet attire, With a heart made of ice and a soul wrapped in fire. For in the stillness, where the night winds entwine, You’re beautiful outside, but deadly inside.
Happy Storyteller Saturday! Tell me about your writing projects please :) which one are you working on the most at the moment?
Happy (belated) Storyteller Saturday!
I have a stupid amount projects (I am great at coming up with ideas, not so great at the focusing on writing them), so I'll just run down a few that have been on my mind lately.
I already shared my Little Mermaid retelling in a different ask you sent.
Cockblocking the Count (working title): This is a Comedy?/Drama?/Action? comic surrounding a young woman in an 1890s esque setting who has caught the eye of a vampire and a collection of other "suitors". The vampire believes that she might be the reincarnation of his dead lover because of how similar they look, and the rest of the suitors all work for a secret monster hunting organization and have been tasked with protecting her and fighting him, all without drawing the attention of the public to the vampire within their midst.
Also, unbeknownst to them all, the MC is aspec and only interested in friendship. It's a delightful mess.
The Protector and the Sacred Soul (working title): This is a Fantasy/Drama where we follow the most recent incarnations of a divine oracle and their protector. Unfortunately, this time around the oracle is merely a child and clearly struggling with the memories of their past life. Meanwhile the protector, barely an adult themself, is grappling with their own past selves and questioning if they should follow their role or attempt to get them both out. Could there be a way out of the cycle?
(and something I haven't shared on tumblr yet!)
The Editor Gets the Wife in the Divorce: This is a Contemporary Comedy/Romance about an editor who has been transferred to work with a temperamental author who needs a lot of attention to finish his book. While working with him, she learns about his very capable and charismatic wife (who he is finally getting a divorce from). Throughout the editing process, and many shenanigans, the wife and the editor fall in love.

Vanquishing the Vampire (insert noble title here)
Prohibiting the Prince

use Cockblocking the Count you coward
I’m working on a reverse harem: vampire slayer story and this title sprang into my head, but I don’t want my vampire to be a count, so I’ve been trying to find an alternative. Please submit your two cents.
So I’ve been consuming a lot of vampire media lately and last night I came up with a dumb story idea because of it.
Reverse harem: vampire slayers
The main girl is aro/ace and oblivious. The powerful vampire thinks she’s a reincarnation of his former lover. All the slayers of a certain age in the area are tasked with protecting her (and potentially wooing her away to do so). Shenanigans ensue.
I have built little character cards for the slayers (at least the ones we care about) with details about them (including some relationship dynamics), but none of them have names.
Please send some ideas (and any questions you have). I want to actually work on this and I don’t want to lose momentum because these idiots are nameless.
