Do the Vampire Sneeze!!! Safetyposter.com
Adelaide the impaler
If you have a child under the age of 10, you're probably aware of the vampire cough/sneeze campaign:
I love that doing nothing is referred to as "going commando" . . . and how unhappy about it the receiving figure seems to be. That's an intense frowny face.
But an accurate one, I'd say. There are few things as infuriating as kneeling down to button someone's coat and getting a face full of little kid cough.
Ugh.
We've been working on the vampire technique over the last few cough-filled days.
Adelaide: (starts to cough)
Me: Dracula!
Adelaide:
It's been pretty effective. And now that she's on the mend, Adelaide's finally getting the hang of it and using her elbow without being prompted. (Of course. Is it too much to hope she'll remember this the next time she gets sick?)
Though who knows what the lasting effects of shouting Dracula at your kid several times an hour might be.
We may find out the next time that little kitten gets angry.
What ultimate spider-man taught me: Vampire sneeze. Always vampire sneeze.
