I have a little headcanon that I believe Loki would be drawn to the women in his life on instinct. with how close he is to Frigga, I can imagine him latching onto Natasha and Pepper (my ladies <3) and they would undoubtedly dote on him. they fawn over his tumbling (unfairly perfect) curls and delight in braiding his hair before a nap or an outing. they provide quality cuddles and comfort when Loki’s separation anxiety stirs, reassuring him in sweet, saccharine voices.

Tony is a tough one for Loki—fun, but a little overwhelming. fuelled by the time he accidentally made him cry, however, Tony learns quickly when to tone it down when the baby’s feeling a little fragile. he certainly fuels Loki’s desire for chaos, and once they’re comfortable with one another, they’re a bit of a terrifying combination.

Steve looks an awful lot like Thor, according to Loki. so he’s the first of the boys he gets comfortable with. Loki takes a great interest in Steve’s art and insists on drawing alongside him with his crayons. Steve is also the only other Avenger who can pick him up! if Thor’s not around and Loki’s feeling a little extra clingy, you’ll most likely find him cuddled up in the Captain’s strong arms, head resting wearily on the man’s broad shoulder.

Bruce is understandably a little nervous when he first meets Loki. kids aren’t always the most predictable and Loki being Loki (even with such a young headspace) has a love for chaos. but after he makes breakfast for a couple of drowsy gods (homesickness can be hard for the baby; sleepless nights and tears ensue) he sees the sweet, cuddly side to the youngest Odinson that warms his heart. not long after, however, he witnesses a tantrum. but instead of anxiety, Bruce finds himself empathising with such a ferocious temper and even helps Loki calm down.

Clint is, unsurprisingly, great with Loki off the bat. he’s a father, after all! and he makes it known. he’s quick to ensure Loki gets all the nutrients he needs from his heals. when Loki comes down with a tummy bug one day, he’s ready with home remedies: apple juice, toast or oatmeal to ease his tummy, blankets and movies at the ready. he’s also great with guiding a flustered Thor through tantrums, when it’s best to ignore the obvious plea for attention and when to comfort.

if it’s not obvious, I’m a huge sucker for the Loki + Avenger trope. this ask was wonderful, thank you <3

hii!! keeping this anonymous, but i just wanted to say i love love looooveee your little!loki fics. ive been searching ages for this type of stuff ever since i got into marvel and the avengers and loki in general, and they always put a big smile on my face whenever i read them. AND TO ADD HE'S AUTISTIC JUST LIKE ME??? OH MY GOD!! AAAHHH

i was wondering if it was okay for you to write a fic of when mobius had to first take care of him cuz i can't help but wonder what sorts of challenges mobius would get into with such a fussy lil thing.. far too cute

i have to admit (and with no intention of dampening your love for this fic, it means the world!) that both of my autistic!loki fics are not my best work (in my silly opinion), but that also means i’d like to revisit them at some time and add to this little universe!

that being said, i LOVE your idea! i’ll definitely try to think up a few scenarios as to how mobius would handle that situation. and you’re always welcome to suggest things!! i love hearing people’s thoughts, even if i can’t guarantee a finished and published fic out of it!

Hi!!! I adore teeny Loki and your art of him is so cute! Does he have any preferred outfits? And how does he feel about naps?

I think his headspace would be too young to really consider clothes, if they’re comfortable he’s happy!! that being said, he would likely be dressed in overalls (easy for changes + durable) or one of his brother’s oversized sweatshirts, for extra comfort on a home day; especially if they’re apart.

naps, well… depends on his mood. having too much fun? no time for sleeps! getting cranky? not until he has a full belly and sufficient cuddles, thank you very much! overall, if his caregiver is strict on the routine, he will likely go down without too much fuss.

Hello!! Do you think that little Loki struggles a lot with nightmares leftover from his big thoughts? If so, what do his CGs do to help him calm down after? Do they have a routine that works best? I love your blog btw!

i believe so, yes! i would like to delve a little more in the—hopefully near—future.

to answer your second question, it would depend on severity. sometimes he just needs a few cuddles and someone to stay with him till he falls back to sleep. the best part about being in his younger headspace, is that children have an easier time calming when they trust someone so unwaveringly. if Thor (or any caregiver, for that matter) says that’s it’s alright, that he’s safe, then he will almost always believe it without hesitation.

however, if said nightmare hits a little too hard (if we’re going by my Ragnarok au, then perhaps his time with Thanos) then it make take a little more convincing. in this case we’ll assume his caregiver is Thor:

he would gently lift Loki from his crib, and sit with him for awhile, reminding him where he is, that’s big brother is there to take care of everything and keep him safe. to keep him from slipping into a bigger headspace, tell Loki how small he is, whisper about his favourite stuffies, the fun they were going to have when the sun rose; Brunnhilde would come over, they’d go for a morning walk while the weather was still warm. once Loki was breathing slow again, Thor would stand with his brother secure in his arms and take him to the kitchen to make a bottle, before settling in the rocker. Loki would be out before he could quite finish and, if necessary, Thor would give him a quick change before heading to his own room and tucking them both in to fall asleep to the sound of Loki suckling his pacifier, content once again.

and sometimes a nightmare will upset the whole day, leaving Thor with a clingy, anxious little brother. though as time goes on in their little village, those days grow few and far between, and Loki has always been good at bouncing back from a bad day, to laugh and play without reservation…

What do you think regressed Loki likes to do on birthday?

• opening presents, of course! you can never have too many books, or extra stuffies for that matter!

• snuggle in with his caregiver (thor, mobius, etc.) by the fire with a morning bottle and a storybook. He may be high energy, but Loki loves a slow morning.

• a walk to explore, collect odds and ends (flowers, rocks, maybe a nice stick or two) and perhaps even visit a friend(the Valkyrie?) ! if he’s lucky, they’ll offer him a sweet treat for his special day!

• after lunch and a nap, he’ll goad his caregiver(s) into a number of games with his new toys before it’s time for the evening celebration!

• chocolate cake perhaps? or maybe even ice cream cake, though with the weather growing increasingly chilly, they may opt for the former.

• extra cuddles to end off the day, dozing off by the fire with a warm baba and nestled in with his brother…

what do you think he would get up to? what presents would he receive?
