short answer: toxic doomed yaoi

long answer: i think in the past—back when dutch and colm were still sorta friends/on okay terms—they definitely had some stuff going on. mostly involving a lot of alcohol, i imagine.

but then, dutch killed colm's brother. and in retaliation, colm killed annabel. this is where the toxic part comes in my friend

colm, despite his extremely limited screen time in the game (rockstar did him dirty), is always described as a very cruel man. now obviously, most of that is coming out of dutch's mouth, so we dont really know how far colm's cruelty extends.

but where im going with this is: while dutch keeps trying to get to colm in order to avenge his lover, annabel, i imagine colm goes after dutch out of a pure sadistic need to toy with him. from the mission "blessed are the peacemakers" its already pretty clear that colm never really cared about his brother much, and so i doubt its about revenge for him.

essentially, colm seeks out dutch so he can torture and humiliate him. and also do other things. you know the drill.

either way, if you havent noticed already, im not very big on healthy relationships. i like my ships more toxic than chugging uranium
