💭 for Lux obvs, because all the other chars of mine you know IC are all assholes and I know the answer to those rip 8( But let's hear it from both Elijah and *shudders* Vandir...on Lux. RIP
“Luxelen.”
The name all too often littered amidst tabloid articles and gossiper’s lips found Elijah often in his trips into the Reach. She was the woman that brought life wherever she went and promptly stole the show for herself. She craved it, he figured. Thirsted and lamented over its absence. She had grown an immeasurable amount since he knew her as a young girl, impressionable and bombastic.
“There is no amount of eyes too much for that woman, no sea of stares too many.”
He loved her. He loved her the way any would for a friend as old as his. He is protective of her, admittedly, despite his substancial absences from her company; this much he attributed toward her own stacked schedules and shared attentions toward the masses. Elijah could never bring himself to speak with such a close friend in such publicity, knowing all ears clung to his every word, his every motion. He knew her for the woman
Luxelen is the woman he bled for in the name of her safety, and despite their angered exchanges and violent arguments, she was his friend until whatever bitter end met them.
LUXELEN LARKSPUR.
The reclusive viper that nicked at heels and sapped the strength from those closest. There was no venom more potent that the Secondborn knew than that which dripped from the Chancellor’s languid maw.
She is destruction, malice and woe all painted behind crimson bow lips. She would have sooner left him for dead had she not struck him anywhere but Divinity that fateful day. For all the Sylvari’s boundless hatred toward the city, irony would have it be his saviour.
“She left me battered, broken and bruised beyond repair...” Vandir droned, his once silken voice now marred by the disfigurement that gripped his jaw, curling his lip into its permanently vicious snarl.
“After all that I gave, all that I protected in the name of her happiness — she betrayed me when it seemed we were at our closest. When I was at my closest, with anyone.”
