Destiny: Harmless Vanguard Things

Cayde making casual bets with Ikora…very often (this is actually canon).

Zavala stepping out of his stoic bubble to teach Ikora and Cayde how to crochet after the two express genuine curiosity in his crocheting class. Ikora finds it endearing, while beside her Cayde crochets dickbutts.

Sometimes, all three Vanguards casually hang out during their breaks, talking to one another about their different interests and becoming good friends (despite dangerous Zavala and Cayde friction. dat friction is spicy, spicy friction so beware).

Zavala hating ramen, which only served to further spice the spicy friction between him and Cayde.

When Hunters talk to Ikora, Cayde gets jealous and he initiates intense stare battles. Ikora wins. Ikora always wins.

Ikora, despite seeming stoic, is actually pretty soft and has an almost maternal care for all Guardians. Cayde notices this.

Zavala is also a big ol’ softie. Cayde teases him every time such a thing shows >:D

Cayde appears as a hardcase to everyone, but is actually a big ol’ softie to Holliday (this is canon).

Zavala having a case of smiling once: in the smallest of movements the corners of his mouth subtly curved up after he’d sent one of his energetic kinderguardians off. This evoked varied happy reactions from Ikora and Cayde. They never let Zav live it down.
