Star Wars: Squadrons (2020)
HAPPY MAY THE 4TH!!!
Replaying Star Wars Squadrons | Part 3
Hey guys. Hi. It's time for me to talk about my favorite Star Wars idea that Disney is too much of a coward to actually make happen--
A Hera Syndulla tv show.
Okay, picture this--
Season One: Post A New Dawn (which should get it's own movie with Hector Elizondo as Okadiah I have spoken) stuff. Kanan and Hera doing missions together, Kanan telling her about his Jedi past, them falling in love. Zeb and Sabine are introduced. We get to see the Hera and Kanan and Chopper dynamic, and how the 22 pickup got invented
Season Two: Post SWR season four. Hera as a General. Jacen's birth, her fighting over Scarif and Endor. Alphabet Squadron and Vanguard Squadron are heavily featured, and we hear about where the rest of the crew is, too
Season Three: Resistance Era. Grown up Jacen Syndulla, Ezra's back, maybe Hera has a flight school. We see her rejoin the fight against the First Order, how she handles that and where she's at during the movies. Jacen (and Ezra, of course) senses Kanan's Force ghost over Exegol
I also wouldn't object to that being season four, and us getting a season about Hera raising a Force sensitive kid and Ezra coming back to train him.
Obviously, it would be called Captain Syndulla. That way, it could come to focus a little more on Jacen in the later seasons and everyone would be all "Ooooooooooh, neat title." (unless someone has a more clever idea)
In short-- Disney. Hire me. I'm a genius.
Keo from Star Wars: Squadrons is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns!!
They also happen to be voiced by non-binary actor Bex Taylor Klaus which is nice
You really do love to see it!
I've only known them for a day and a half, but if anything happened to them, I would kill everyone in this room and then myself.
(That includes my Imperial and New Republic pilot who are not pictured. )
Alphabet Squadron Mentioned in Star Wars: Squadrons
We’ve known for a while now that the Alphabet Squadron books and Star Wars: Squadrons would enevitably feature elements from each other—in Shadow Fall, we even see General Hera Syndulla leave with the player character’s Vanguard Squadron, putting her in place to appear in SW:S.
In the first book, we see Yirka Quell’s defection to the new Republic, and her rise to the leader of Alphabet Squadron. It’s a pretty rough ride, and by the time Shadow Fall comes around, we see it starting to crumble. It’s pretty eye-opening to see the struggles of Alphabet Squadron from an outsider’s perspective, especially when the viewer/reader is aware that Cern Aiden’s personal reasons for creating the group is a big reason for that.
