A tom who seems older than he is, Vanillaflower is the antithesis of his name. He initially trained as a medicine cat apprentice, but he couldn’t keep his attention long enough to stay with it. He’s always had issues with focusing and performing his duties as a warrior. Vanillaflower stays reserved from the rest of his Clanmates, usually fading into the background to his own mind. His siblings, however, are his only real connection to the Clan. Cottonpatch often brings his kits to Vanillaflower to meet with, but the tom is usually meek and unsure. Vanillaflower’s issues were noticed by his former medicine cat mentor, and they worked together to manage his attention issues. His mentor passed recently, and now he is on his own again. He’s afraid to speak out to anyone else, and lets himself suffer slowly. Vanillaflower has always tried his best to be a part of his Clan, but can’t seem to push past his own mindset. However, one of the elders, Vervainpetal, is starting to take him under their wing to ease his fears.
