Random ShadowVanilla One-shot

"Would you trust me to be your guide dog?"

Shadow Milk suddenly asked softly.

He'd seemed to be in a quite… thoughtful mood for a while now.

"Mhm…" Pure Vanilla hummed considerably without looking up from his task. "Well, I mean, you're not a dog, so…"

Shadow Milk only scoffed at the light tone, and the healer could practically feel the eye-roll even without seeing his face.

But Pure Vanilla was quite used to the other's random out-of-nowhere thoughts by now, and continued with his actual answer before he could be accused of avoiding the question.

"Would I trust you to guide me if I didn't have my staff? Mhm… In an unfamiliar, possibly dangerous situation where my safety is in your hands? Absolutely. Without a doubt."

He reassured as he continued to carefully weave silky black and blue hair into a braid.

"Out in my Kingdom or my friends' where the biggest danger would be walking into a pole and embarrass myself? Not necessarily," he teased lightly.

"I'd probably walk into a few walls, doors and cookies whenever I expect it the least, while you'd enjoy the show, wouldn't you?"

Shadow Milk chuckled dryly and just a tiny bit self-deprecating in response, as Pure Vanilla tied off the end of his braid with a blue ribbon.

"There we go. Do you like it?"

Shadow Milk pulled the braid over his shoulder and scrutinized it with a critical gaze.

"Well, it's… passable, I guess. For a blind fool who can't even see a wall before walking into it."

Pure Vanilla beamed at what was definitely a compliment from Shadow Milk's mouth, before giggling at the teasing.

It always felt like an accomplishment to pull the other out of those moods.

This was basically a writing practice, but I kinda liked this one, so I'll post it. It was also inspired by art, BUT I CAN'T FIND IT ANYMORE!😭

Listen, I've seen a lot of fics a where Pure Vamilla Cookie is a virgin and Shmilk isn't, and thats fine and dandy in all, but like... look at these two.

Pure Vanilla Cookie has been traveling the world for a long, long time, and has been doing so for thousands of years, and he's met a lot of people during that time. Shadow Milk was literally made for a singular task and did that while in his little tower, his only friends being the other beasts (and we don't even know what their relationship was besides their convos together in battle), and my guy is so completely lonely and every Cookie he met, even before he was a beast, worshipped him as a god and probably thought he was completely untouchable bcuz of his power.

All I'm saying is that, if you want one of them to be a virgin, it makes way more since for the virgin to be Shmilk.
