Parties weren’t exactly Y/N’s thing. But since she came from a family that had a long line of wealth because of their thriving liquor industry, parties were a very common thing. Everyone came to the L/N’s parties. The delicious but strong liquor their family invented was every adult's favorite! Y/N didn’t understand how people could like any alcoholic drink in general. They’re all so bitter and disgusting. She did enjoy some wine though.
She went up to the bar her family had inside their mansion and asked the bartender to pour her some more cherry-flavored wine. "This is the 3rd wine glass you had Mrs. L/N. Don't you want something different?" the bartender asked her. Y/N just simply shook her head and the bartender poured her her wine.
The young woman sat down and watched as guests laughed, drank, and danced. She always enjoyed watching others have fun. It always brought a smile to her face to watch someone else's smile light up a whole room. She couldn't understand why she couldn't bring herself to just go up to a small group and laugh with them. She always just told herself it was because she was shy, but that's it.
While she was lost in her own thoughts, she didn't notice her eyes resting on a very handsome gentleman in a simple black and white suit. She finally snapped out of it when she realized he smiled at her in a very seductive way. She shied away from his gaze, but he didn't stop staring.
He was really attractive. Blonde hair, blue eyes, a unique tattoo visible on his neck, and perfect pearly teeth. She kept taking small peaks at him to fully take in his beauty. The man on the other hand was enjoying the way the beautiful young woman kept staring at him with an innocent gleam in her eyes. He needed to see her up close.
As he walked up to her, Y/N was pretending to be clueless of his presence getting closer. She turned her whole body to the right and took small sips of her whine.
"Aren't you a little too young to be having any sort of alcoholic beverages?" the man asked.
Y/N just looked at him and smiled at the joke. "I'm turning 21 in 2 months, I'm fine. Besides, aren't you a little too old to be looking at young women like how you were looking at me"
The man just looked down and let out a little chuckle. He took out his hand for her to shake, "The names Cody, Cody Rhodes".
Y/N accepted the handshake, but when her hand met his, he brought it up and pressed a soft kiss to the back of her hands. That action made her face feel a little warm. "My name is-" she was interrupted.
"I know who you are, Y/N. No need for any introduction"
Y/N smiled and took another sip of her wine. "Well.. I guess I can say the same. Your father is the creator of 'Rhodes cigars', no?" she asked to which Cody shook his head.
"Yup, that's my old man. Claims he's gonna give the company to me, but I don't think so. I think he'll pass it down to my brother." Cody states while taking a sip of his drink.
Y/N frowned at the statement he made sense he said it in such a sorrowful tone. "What makes you think that?" she asked.
Cody just shook his head and looked down at his drink and started swirling it around, "I truly don't know. I just get the feeling he is. Him and I never had the best relationship growing up."
"But I feel like that's normal in every father and son relationship." Y/N replies. Cody looks at her and smiles at her comforting statement. He nodded to her statement and finished his drink and aggressively, set down the glass cup. Letting the liquor burn down his throat.
"What about your old man? Do you know if you're getting the infamous L/N liquor company?" Cody asks.
Y/N giggles, "Yeah, my father already has everything planned out when him and my mother pass away. But... I don't really want the company..."
Cody looks at her in confusion. "How come? I mean, this company has a long line of wealth!"
"I know, but... I'm not really interested in taking charge of this. I fear that if I screw something, I will demolish all of my family's work and disappoint my ancestors."
Cody was about to say something before he got interrupted by the young woman. "But enough about family business and all the other bullshit... Do you wanna go outside? I have a perfect spot I go to for when I don't want to be around drunk middle-aged men and women" she tells him.
Cody smiles and nods at the request. Y/N takes his hand and leads him up the stairs to the balcony where the beautiful moon is shining bright. Cody is in of how beautiful Y/N looks in the glamour moonlight. Her skin shone bright and her dress hugged her figure beautifully. She looked like a goddess to him.
She turned around and rested her back against the beautiful ancient Greece-based balcony to fully admire the astonishing handsome man. They both stared at each other like they'd just seen a glamourous and divine artwork from the renaissance. It was clear they wanted eachother.
Cody took out a box of cigarettes from his pocket and offered Y/N one but she declined. "Coming from a liquor family, I'm surprised you would decline a cigarette" he chuckled.
"I had an uncle that got cancer from cigarettes, so from an early age I swore to not touch a single cigarette until im 30"
In response to her comment, Cody simply grinned and lit his cigarette. Y/N was unable to deny that she was a little thrilled when she saw Cody smoking. She had no idea why, but it did. She observed him exhale smoke and take another drag.
"So tell me, Y/N. Do you have a lover?" Cody asked as smoke come out of his mouth.
Y/N simply shook her head to his question. "I never found the right one. They all just want one thing..."
"Money?"
"Sex."
Cody just raised his eyebrows in shock. There was an awkward silence between the two. He saw the way the subject brought her mood down. He wanted to change the subject but he didn't know how until she spoke up.
"But I'm still open,'" she awkwardly chuckled "I just want to be treated fairly."
Cody got closer to her. He wanted to be the one to treat her right, even if they had just met. Y/N saw the way he was getting closer and closer. Her face got a little warm from the closeness.
"You old thing, you. You have such a lovely face with the perfect glamour, yet you're treated like garbage." Cody whispered as he brought his hand up to hold her chin.
Y/N whimpered at the feeling of Cody touching her. They couldn't handle the tension. They both closed the empty space between then with their lips.
Tobacco and liquor.
That's all Y/N tasted on his lips, but she didn't care. Cody only taste the expensive wine she drank and was more intrigued.
The kiss was getting more passionate by the second. Cody brought Y/N closer to his body and Y/N responded by whimpering at his more intimate touch. When they finally pulled away to catch in the fresh air, they left each other wanting more, but they knew it couldn't get any further.
"I wanna be the one to treat you right, princess," Cody says.
Y/N looks at him and smiles.
Y/N's life was like poetry and her love life was like a legacy in the making.
