Archer Gaffy - Murderer, Lowlife

Got back to playing Archer again for the second year in a row at the larp Vansinne and decided to throw everything on again after I got home to snap a few photos, not much changed outfit wise from this year to the last more than I used a different shirt but I had a lot more different things to play on, Archer’s brother Rudy was gone this year, taken by the law, and so Archer was very lost, still trying to come to terms with the fact that he killed someone a year ago and that he’d destroyed his own chance at redemption Archer spent most of the time drinking in the tavern and wallowing in his own self hate, receiving letters from the only other guy who cares about him and who he has refused to answer, drinking himself into a stupor just to finish it and write a four sentence response, it was fun

Archer “Archie” Gaffy lowlife, bastard, petty thief, and with a habit of wasting matches Played him during the larp “Vansinne” this year, set in a different land heavily inspired by 1800s england, with flavors of hp lovecraft, dishonored, and the like I had a blast during this larp, and honestly I think it’s my top one as of yet overall, the setting, the character, and the characters I played with all worked out phenomenally, I had some great plots going on with all of my friends, some of which didn’t get resolved and even ended up with a pretty good arc and in the end a chance at redemption which Archer almost spolied for himself just a few hours later, all for his his adoptive older brother/terrible rolemodel Rudy Ended up breaking the one moral code I had with him, that he in all his life of being an outcast and hanging around criminals, murder was the one thing he had always refused and condemned, but with enough pressure, the haunting and general supernatural fucked up aura of the town Shallowbrook, and the crushing fear of loosing the only person he cared about was enough to send him over the edge, killing the man who tried to kill Rudy, ended up getting shot by the law enforcement as soon as he pulled the trigger, but for Rudy he figured it was worth it, that, and after killing he wasn’t sure he saw himself deserving of life anyway It was all amazing and I’m almost certain I’m going to play him again, since I still have a few plots who remains unsolved, things he still doesn’t know, and I’m stoked to try to figure out what’s ahead of him, if he’s going to take his chance at redemption and a honorable life or if he will ruin his chance due to guilt and the undying love and loyality he feels for Rudy

Archer “Archie” Gaffy: The Outcast, The Lowlife, The Thief

I still can’t get over what an amazing time I had playing this character, a lowlife thief who hardly thought twice over blackmailing higher ups for money, playing on the constant fear of the noose hanging over both him and his adoptive older brother, literally dodging out of sight whenever the “batshit crazy” constable Winters would look at them too long, Winters who, according to them, hung people just for the kicks of it, and who (and this was the most terrifying part) was completely unbribable Archer with the wasted matches, always an outcast even among the lowlives who just barely let him hang around when he was a kid, who’s mother died of sickness in the streets and who’s sister from all he heard got hung just for trying to provide for them, who at the end of the larp, with all his hate and blackmail and attempts at blackmail still got a second chance, when the same man he had been blackmailing offered him a check for 1000 pound to try to get “honest”, who despite this second chance went on and killed a man, taking a bullet in the process for his brother, since all the money in the world still was nothing to the loyality he felt to the last piece of family he had left, who when his brother handed him a gun and pointed to the man who had tried to kill him, despite saying he would never kill ended up pulling the trigger, on one hand relieved there was one less threat in the world for them now when he had money, on the other wishing the constable’s bullet would kill him so he wouldn’t have to hang for what he had just done Damn it was dark, but damn it was amazing

Archer has a very prevalent nervous habit, a comfort in a cold and dark world, no matter where he is or how poor he is he always carries at least one box of matches with him, and he can make the match at the corner of his mouth last for days if he has to depending on their situationen

Heter det interbjuv eller interljuv?

Intervju. Alla vet vad det innebär, och de flesta kan även stava till ordet. Dock inte alla, som bekant. Det finns de som tror att ordet stavas ”interjuv”.

Som skribent och messerwisser ler man lite överseende, eller hur?

Frågan är bara vad man ska göra med den förhoppningsvis lilla men i värsta fall växande del av mänskligheten som tror att det heter interbjuv.

Ni tror att jag skojar. Ni tror att jag hittar på. Som en korsning mellan fotbollslaget Inter och den skånska orten Bjuv. Inter + Bjuv = interbjuv.
