Perhaps this was a bad idea. Initially, when she heard that Jesse McCree was in the area and was looking for a bounty --- the very one she had been after --- she was ready to jump at the chance of working with him. It felt like it had been longer than 7 years since she’d seen him, a part of her longed for things to return to the way they were.
But how foolish was she to think such a thing? Of course that would never happen, so now she stood in front of him, regret already consuming her whole. She shouldn’t have done this. She kept one hand at her side and the other gripped around the strap of her rifle. “ We can split the reward 50/50, I’ve already been keeping track of where they’ve been. I’ll share my resources. ” The voice modulator sounded so foreign, it wasn’t her, never was, but it suited her in this situation so she needed to keep it on.
