Fantasmitas! Simplemente, ¡hermoso! 😭 ¡Pero deberé guardarlo para mi review!
My thoughts are all over the place but to sum it up, Taiga is your average dude. Your typical run of the mill dude.
He’s good natured, sensible, and pragmatic. But his insecurities are so realistic, they mirror those of your average male colleague in his 20s. And to a scary degree it is not funny and made his route very depressing for me 😂💔
Like I empathise with what he’s struggling with. His insecurities and fears of high expectations and huge responsibilities is very understandable. But….that’s not enough to spare him of abandoning Hibari when she gets very serious about him. He just ditches everything and runs away…and he was actually serious about running away. He was not joking one bit. And if Hibari did not run after him (in the good ending), he would be gone for good.
The scary but very realistic part is that the bad ending is the very likely scenario to happen to a relationship like the one these two had. A guy like Taiga would not handle all this ‘pressure’ and run away. And even if Hibari would cling for some time to the hope that he will come back if she “becomes a better person”, he won’t at all. And she will move on eventually.
The happy end is a much more niche scenario in such a set up 🙂↕️
I find it funny that both Shion and Taiga were toxic in their own ways, but the objective end result of their toxicity is drastically different XD
Shion wanted to do everything to keep being with Hibari, even if it means being a toxic manipulator and living with her an unhealthy codependent life, while Taiga just abandoned Hibari altogether, and his love for her was not enough for him to stay, he practically caused her to have abandonment issues.
On the bright side 😂 that scene in the good end where she went all out and said everything to her hearts content to him was really satisfying I even teared up tears of happiness 🥹
What she says here hits the nail on the head:
and Taiga is indeed a good person who is not malicious and is actually compatible with Hibari realistically speaking, plus he has great room for growth. It is just that at this stage where he met Hibari, he is a realistically not ready person for marriage. His maturity level did not reach that point yet, and I felt the story has done a great job portraying that.
Overall a very good route and the characterisation again is so well done. It is well done to the point they successfully made me get triggered 🤣
But as a side note, it is not a route I will replay ever again because it is way too triggering and in real life men like Taiga make my blood boil and I have seen my fair share of them in uni and family 🥶 the girls who are victims to their wish washy-ness and immaturity are many times very honest girls as well, similar to Hibari, so that makes it rage inducing even more.
