They didn’t have time. There was never enough time, but this- this was important. Information had come up about a plot against a US senator- but they didn’t know which one and they didn’t know how it was going to happen. But they did know which group was behind it, thus Steve and his team had been sent out on an early morning mission to take a terrorist compound and grab as many prisoners as possible. They’d been successful, but not a single one of the prisoner was wanting to speak.

He stood alone in the observation room, watching as one of his men questioned one of the prisoners. The man watched on in amusement, though, as the soldier stood over him and asked questions. Steve was getting frustrated, angry. If they didn’t start getting answers soon, people could die. A thought came to mind and he turned inward, checking on those in his cluster before finally going to Nia. If anyone could help him with this, it was her.

“I need help,” he pleaded softly. “Do you have a minute?”
