he’s always had a sinking feeling that it wasn’t really his decision to go into medicine and is afraid that he pigeon holed himself into this career path too early on, but those doubts are fading as he gains confidence throughout his residency

his goal has always been to be a doctor! granted, that was probably in part due to his parents’ influence when he was a kid, but he embraced it in high school and university

It takes Luna a very long time to admit to herself that she has any feelings for Theron other than fleeting physical attraction. She can’t afford to get attached to him. Things are messy enough as it is - her life is on the line, her career is on the line, her friends and loved ones are on the line - getting involved with Theron would only complicate things further.
The more time she spends talking to him, however, the more intrigued she is. They get along better than she expected they would. He makes her laugh. He calms her down when she’s stressed out or anxious. She finds herself opening up to him about things she would never tell anyone else (which she’s really angry with herself about by the way, because logically she knows that he might very well be working her, but then they talk again and she just… Trusts him.)

- Her name is Shannon Abbott, with no nicknames (Ortega tried a “Shan” once, and that did NOT go over well). Typically, only very close friends get to call her Shannon (so basically just Ortega right now, and Anathema when she was alive) everyone else can call her Abbott.

-As best expressed in NSYNC’s 2000 hit, “bi bi bi”, and cis woman.

-Her villain name is Amygdala, after the part of the brain the detects and responds to fear, because she’s that dramatic.

-It’s very minimalist, all black with some silver garnish, and you can definitely tell by looking at it that it was built for function rather than fashion (minus the cape bc she had to have that). The suit isn’t outright horrifying, but featureless and mysterious enough to be imposing. She wanted it to inspire fear and awe without being cliché or over-the-top.
-In book 1, her typical style of dress was comfy and nondescript, with dull, neutral colors. Lots of sweatpants and leggings, LOTS of hoodies, always two sizes bigger than what she needs. In book 2 she’s upgraded to hoodies AND sweatshirts, and sometimes ones that actually have color in them!!

-Definitely calculating, but more to keep herself safe rather than trying to manipulate others. When she gets close with people she has to make a conscious effort to be sincere.

-Depends on the situation. She’s pretty forthcoming and outright with her opinions, but won’t talk about personal things. She doesn’t really lie often, however, she just won’t talk about it or she’ll change the subject.

-Neither. The thought of leading makes her uncomfortable (that’s why she keeps a friendly rapport with Boris instead of a boss-like relationship) and she hates authority too much to ever be a follower.

What would your Warden generally think of your Hawke and your inquisitor?anise thinks cirhys is too far in her own head and overthinks things. she gets kind of frustrated with cirhys always wanting to consider every angle of a problem before acting. doesnt dislike her, though. and she thinks its impressive to watch her fight with a giant broadsword.
t’enhan sort of likes romelos. she recognizes some of herself in romelos’ uncertainty, and is reminded very much of the blight and the feeling of being forced in to a heroic role, and having no idea how to lead.
laurel respects mellona. she likes that mellona is very upfront about everything, and that she expects that kind of brutal honesty from everyone around her. thinks its hilarious that the savior of thedas is a criminal. What would your Inquisitor generally think of your warden and your Hawke?
cirhys thinks anise is pushy, but in a good way, with a sureness in her decisions that cirhys envies. but she thinks that if anise has so many ideas about how the inquisition should be run, than she should be inquisitor. when she says that to anise, anise is very pleasantly surprised.
romelos is intimidated by t’enhan, and feels like she has to live up to her expectations. t’enhan seems so cool and collected, and romelos just... isnt. so she feels this great distance between them ?? over time, they end up as friends though, when romelos sees t’enhan as less intimidating, and starts to see that the only standards she has to live up to are her own.
mellona likes that laurel is very task-oriented, and doesnt care much for socialization or extra niceties. mellona doesnt think laurel likes anyone until she sees her and alistair. theyre both tough ladies who keep people at a professional distance, and only let themselves be Soft around one or two people.
What would they think about each other’s love interests (if they romanced someone of course)
anise likes sera ! she thinks sera talks too much, but thinks shes funny most of the time and really likes the whole idea of the red jennies. (she might seriously ask about joining the jennies) (and i think sera would def prank anise if she were in skyhold, and anise is mad for all of 2 seconds before laughing)
t’enhan likes solas enough at first. she doesnt appreciate the way he distances himself from other elves, and she doesnt like how romelos leans on him so heavily for advisement. but she finds his attitude towards magic refreshing, and they have long discussions about magic and shit. (post trespasser.... she definitely wants to accompany romelos, bc he needs to be stopped by any means necessary and if romelos cant do it, then she will.)
laurel likes iron bull and really likes the chargers. a fun group to hang around with, a fun group to train with. she Knows something is up about blackwall, and she confronts him privately, and he lies his way out, but laurel keeps a close eye on him. when revelations happens, she isnt surprised, but she is surprised that mellona gives him another chance.
cirhys thinks zevran is Too Much sometimes but generally she likes him. she thinks hes funny, and the way he looks at anise makes her feel soft. she wants to help sera prank him, but he always seems to know whats up, so it never works.
romelos loves leliana. probably her favorite adviser, and she becomes divine. she softened leliana in her quest, and t’enhan is grateful for it. (its very hard for these two world-weary ladies to not be made cold)
mellona likes alistair a bit. she mostly sees him in professional situations, so she sees the more serious and focused side of him, so its kind of a surprise when she sees him being silly w laurel. but she thinks hes very good at what he does, and she takes his advice very seriously.
of course i gotta go with the original, the dumbass, the ranger (?), mother of Barnaby, none other than the treasured Verya (also this got ridiculously long so im putting it under a readmore)
• wardrobe: what’s your OC(s) style like?
Verya’s style is very practical, comfortable, and sentimental, with a little flair for the aesthetiqué. Her usual color palette is mostly browns and blacks, with some dark forest greens, and she loves to accessorize with a darker, crimson red. These colors are mostly to help her blend in while she’s being sneaky. She always wears some form of a scarf/neck covering, with the scarf she wears now being a gift from a party member made from the fur of a vanquished giant squirrel. Her hair is long, landing at her mid-back, and she keeps it down for the aesthetiqué, though it can get in the way sometimes (hey, maybe that’s why she’s always falling from heights). She also wears a little half/three-quarter length cape because capes are cool man, and Blackjack has one, so of course she’s gotta wear one.
The things she keeps permanently on her person either serve some practical purpose (such as her ever-faithful Haversack) or are deeply sentimental, like the little book of etiquette she carries that used to be her mother’s, or her original crimson scarf that also used to belong to her mother.Now her Fancy Verya(tm tm tm) look is starkly different, with bright and colorful royal blues and golds being her thing. All she wants, all she needs, in this world is a nice closet of fancy dresses and ball gowns. It’s really not too much to ask. She stole Yola’s dress for the sole purpose of it was pretty. That’s it. And someone would literally have to kill her to get her to give it back. Her dress now.
Oh shit I forgot about her cool mask she also has this sick mask that she bought because she thought it would protect her from the plague (she’s got like maybe two braincells cut her some slack) but it’s porcelain white and looks a little something like this:

She’s not in love or crushing on anyone specific as of yet but she has a bad habit of falling a little bit in love with everyone she meets (every good person she meets, that is). That being said, she can “visually appreciate” a villain who’s Big Sexy (I’m not saying she stopped Hilja and Dayanara from killing Yola because she thought she was cute but….)
She’s drawn to people who are authentic, and who have a strong moral consciousness (though this moral code doesn’t necessarily have to comply with what’s legal, per se). She needs someone who’s not afraid to challenge her and help her grow as a person (and in turn help them grow as well) but at heart she truly is a hopeless romantic. She’s always dreamt of the cheesy, cliché passionate romances from the trashy novels that are always laying around her house. That is to say SHE isn’t crushing on anyone right now but Alston’s got plans. Oh, does Alston have some plans. Why do y’all think I’ve been reblogging all those ship tropes????
• hobby: what do they love? what captivates them? what are their passions?
She’s a sucker for the finer things in life, although she’d prefer to get them with a five-finger discount rather than actually paying for them. Anything fancy or old and she WANTS IT. Dresses, jewelry, china sets, cutlery, pillows, nothing’s safe. At first she would steal them just to hock and sell them later on at a profit, but over time she started saving some of it for herself.
She also has an unhealthy obsession with daggers; she keeps accumulating them like a dragon (although the six daggers she keeps on her person come in handy when she needs to throw something and can’t immediately get them back).
Actual hobby-wise, she loves games of chance: cards, dice, lizard races, anything she can bet on.She also likes to try her luck sneaking into places she shouldn’t be, either through disguising herself and deception or good old-fashioned breaking and entering. That’s typically how she gets access to the finer things.
She loves feats of acrobatics (but she doesn’t like the inevitable falling that happens from any sort of height whatsoever)
She also loves to waltz but doesn’t get to do it very often.
Another, albeit unhealthy hobby of hers was mercilessly and ruthlessly killing everyone who wronged her, but she seems to be over that for now (…for now…)
