Vas is a sol-like star and Var is a brown dwarf that nobody really likes.
Total solar eclipses are only "cool" when Var is directly in front of or behind Vas. Whenever Var is at its greatest elongation, there's a few extra hours of "daylight" (it is really red outside). Var is only ever really appreciated during winter, when its supplementary light can make it just a bit warmer outside. Going off the lore that celestial bodies are parts/corpses of gods, different cultures each have their own interpretations of the two suns. some think they are both the same individual (Varvas), others think Var is the heart of Vas, some think they are two different individuals, and one thinks they are both the eyes of something greater.
