Existing is just... strange, sometimes. I come from an older Gunsmoke... one that got to develop more and I get to saw the humans develop and learn to make the world flourish without plants and soon make a desolate place turn green. It even rained sometimes and there were cities.

But I was still alone. I had everyone die before me and for centuries I drifted with people around me but never with me. Not like Wolfwood. Not like Meryl and Milly either. No Luida, no Brad, no... anyone. I lived long enough to see how humans ran their own conflicts and the population was too big enough to keep playing hero. And if I did... usually I just made things worse - especially if I lost control somewhere needing more power than just pretending to be human. Then no one welcomed me... even when I had been with them for such a long time. I got a lot of strong memories of wandering through a ruined village where it was once abundant with people - and now after all the skirmishes were over, not a soul lived there anymore.

Now I'm here, and I guess I gotta think again about if I'm gonna be drifting again or try to settle this time. Maybe I'll find a Wolfwood again. I understand he'll never be the one I knew, but, I'd like to hear his experiences and see how this new world's treated him this time. It'd be nice to see a Meryl and Milly too, or anyone else. Hear their experiences. They at least all deserved to grow in a kinder world.

The "Uncanny Vash" meme has done something to me. I can't really figure out why, but I sort of enjoy it. Is this why people love cryptids so much? Being cryptid-like is... Kind of enjoyable?
