She has never done well in cities. Stone and steel make for unwelcoming companions, she’s found. The air here suffocates her like a thick blanket, streets crowded and cramped. Ysayle wants little more than to be by herself, to retreat to a place in the sun and find solace in her own thoughts.
It’s hard to resist the compulsion to look over her shoulder every few steps; the feeling of being watched isn’t one that she can ignore, despite all her efforts to the contrary. Curious, really, how Iceheart is a figure so prominent in the public eye -- yet Ysayle can scarcely bear being so much as looked at for more than an hour without needing to leave.
And so it’s that thought that brings her to a park, small and bare, searching for a small space to call her own. Though the trees are not the large, sweeping affairs found in Dravania, the sight of dirt and greenery is enough to slowly calm her beating heart.
Closed, then, are her eyes as she turns her face to the sun -- when something small but quite heavy lands atop her head.
“What --” her eyes fly open and she glances up, startling the creature back into the air. Ysayle blinks curiously, unable to believe her eyes. “A dragon ...?”
