#bookishtrionovember underrated reads: what’s your a favorite that no one talks about much? So, this is my teenage self speaking, but Vampire Academy and The Mara Dyer trilogy are immensely underrated. Vampire Academy was overshadowed by Twilight and I still ask myself why 🤔 I’ve never read past New Moon, but have reread the entirety of VA over and over again (from the age 17-21), but now some years have passed and my beautiful bestie @bookwormkristie and I have decided to do a big reread of them!! I am really excited to see how I feel rereading them years later and I AM SO EFFIN EXCITED FOR KRISTIES UPDATES. We LOVE the updates 😂 - But this reread of VA came about because a few months ago, Kristie had made a deal with me that if I read The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer she would give VA a second chance... turns out we ended up buddy reading the Mara Dyer trilogy! I absolutely fell in love with this trilogy! It’s like nothing I’ve read before in terms of where the plot ends up going.
