1st September 2021 // Helene Hellmark Knutsson, the governor of Västerbotten County, hosted a dinner for Crown Princess Victoria at the restaurant Tonka in Umeå. Victoria was staying overnight at the governor's residence after opening the Sami Parliament, ahead of a day of engagements

2nd September 2021 // Crown Princess Victoria visited Västerbotten County following the King’s decision for the family to tour all the counties and learn about the impact of the pandemic. During her trip, Victoria: visited Umeå City Mission where she heard from staff and medical professionals about their efforts to support the community during the pandemic; spoke with students at Maja Beskow High School about the impact of COVID on their studies; toured Sara Cultural Centre to find out about the experiences of the theatre industry over the last 18 months; and met with local business figures to discuss the impact on industry
