“yeah, I know the feeling.” there’s a lot that ashley's been through that doesn’t have a simple explanation, the burns coating her body being a long remaining reminder of what happened. but she could never begin to explain everything. the little details she knows aren’t helpful, the girl cast into hospital from the earliest moments of the chaos, with no one really left to explain everything once she got out. she was left alone to discover the truth, and not only can she not explain it but she barely understands it. “guess some things aren’t made to be explained.”

Living on her own took some getting used to in the beginning. It offered freedom, it offered the ability to travel where Andrea wanted and at the same time work on her baby --- Stark Medical Equipment. She eventually wanted to branch out Stark Industries and use her knowledge in medicine to start a sister company that would use Stark tech to make medical equipment for surgery purposes and patient rehabilitation. The main motivation for that was her dad, who was still slowly recovering from the injuries sustained in the final battle against Thanos.

It was a nice autumn afternoon in the forever busy New York City, the cars on the street beneath her apartment honking their horns, people occasionally yelling at each other --- the usual rush hour. The young woman sighed softly, pushing herself off the couch and setting her laptop on the coffee table before making her way to the kitchen. Her pets, an Afghan hound and three kittens, when noticing it, followed in tow, making Andrea chuckle. She only ever wanted to get a nice pot of cranberry flavoured tea going, though the doorbell, announcing a guest, stopped her from it as well.

Ezra, the Afghan hound in question, was the first one to bolt to the front door, giving a few barks before Andrea could even reach it. A few seconds later and the door opened, revealing somebody Andrea didn’t expect to see but was very happy to at the same time - Tali. She grinned, moving in to hug her. “Tali! I definitely didn’t expect to see you. Come in, come in!”

A glance was tossed over at Valeera’s direction, an almost sad smile appearing on the Commander’s face, amber eyes reflecting a mix of emotions --- sentiment mixed with melancholy and then --- he reached out for her, his calloused hand taking her soft on, a thumb brushing over the top of her hand. “I didn’t truly have a reason to smile a lot before, you know?” He asked, tone soft, a complete opposite of just usually hard and cold exterior. He was supposed to be a prime example of a perfect Kree soldier, yet had fallen in love with Valeera. Love changed him, for the better, and he liked the change. Valeera changed him as well, and he was thankful for it. “With you though, things are different. I can be myself. You give me a reason to smile.”
