         “it’s a home remedy. it helps with stress.” a home remedy, aka a potion she made in her kitchen sink. basically the same thing. either way, the girl seems unaffected by the comments of the other. “i figured i would offer, if you’d like!”

                     “home remedy?” it sounds as gross as it looks, but ashley has more than enough stress. worst case? it kills her. and if that happens she wont be stressed anymore. “sure, but it still looks gross.”

“yeah, I know the feeling.” there’s a lot that ashley's been through that doesn’t have a simple explanation, the burns coating her body being a long remaining reminder of what happened. but she could never begin to explain everything. the little details she knows aren’t helpful, the girl cast into hospital from the earliest moments of the chaos, with no one really left to explain everything once she got out. she was left alone to discover the truth, and not only can she not explain it but she barely understands it. “guess some things aren’t made to be explained.”

𝙵𝙸𝙽𝙳 𝙼𝚈𝚂𝙴𝙻𝙵?” its said with a slight laugh, though it comes out as bitter and seriously lacking in humor. she had lost her entire world in simply losing ashlyn, but then losing lewis on top of that? it had made life suddenly a whole lot 𝙴𝙼𝙿𝚃𝙸𝙴𝚁. she still had ian, and that meant the world to her, but with everyone else that got off that coaster dying one by one she wonders just how long she has left with him. no one has warned her of 𝙳𝙴𝙰𝚃𝙷’𝚂 𝙿𝙻𝙰𝙽, no one has told her that it’s coming back to claim what slipped through its grasp. perhaps no one found it important enough to tell her. after all, she was in hospital, that was safe, right? or perhaps the real reason no one told her is because the only ones that know have practically forgotten she exists. she survived, that means there’s 𝙽𝙾 𝚁𝙴𝙰𝚂𝙾𝙽 to worry about her anymore, right?

“this isn’t me.” hands gesture to the 𝙱𝚄𝚁𝙽𝚂 running down her arms and legs, her mind running to all the burns and scars that he can’t even see. ashley freund has always been known for her body, and while that itself wasn’t about to change the way everyone looked at her sure would. she was known for having a 𝙷𝙾𝚃 𝙱𝙾𝙳𝚈 before, for being one of the most attractive girls in school, but now she was burned and scarred and realizing that without the thing everyone knew her for she feels like she’s severely lacking in 𝙿𝙴𝚁𝚂𝙾𝙽𝙰𝙻𝙸𝚃𝚈. perhaps really it’s the shock, the grief, making her so empty that an actual personality would be impossible - but she’s not thinking that way. after everything, ashley doesn’t see the emotional parts of her as the problem. she has no doubt the problem with her is 𝙴𝙽𝚃𝙸𝚁𝙴𝙻𝚈 𝙿𝙷𝚈𝚂𝙸𝙲𝙰𝙻. “how am i meant to find myself when the only thing that ever made me myself was 𝚁𝙸𝙿𝙿𝙴𝙳 𝙰𝚆𝙰𝚈?”
