Vattenrum Crop005
Vattenrum - Emerald Pools EP A vibrant little scene is growing and glowing around the Sad Boys and Gravity Boys in Stockholm. Next to step up is the 20 year old producer Vattenrum, who sits on a treasure of unreleased tracks This summer he has performed hour-long dj-sets in Stockholm clubs, using only his own work. From off-kilter electronica via sizzling future bass to flirts with big room 4/4 house. Vattenrum's focus lies on filtration and processing of sounds rather than melodies. Or as he puts it, sounds as stories. The correlation between short and lasting sounds and stories. Can for example a short sound express a lasting effect and that way be experienced as stretched, as a story..? "This is the kind of issues i like to contemplate when i create music". Listen to the Emerald Pools EP with open senses and feel for yourself. Art: ECCO2K
Plastic Boy - Yung Lean x Bladee x vattenrum
"Plastic Boy" by Yung Lean feat. Bladee prod. by Vattenrum
How is my man Anthony Fantano gonna drop a straight up bread diss on Yung Lean when he's consistently putting out music like this? Leandoer's current streak of autotuned goodness reminds me of what Chief Keef had going right up until the release of "Finally Rich". The difference is, Lean has a much greater variety of incredible beats and is still managing to keep the streak alive, even after the release of his debut. On top of that, no one is messing with Lean's music video game, especially Keef. I think Fantano and Keef are going to have to sit back and take this L as Yung Lean continues of his track to internet greatness.
